As much as there are lovable and likable characters all throughout the entire series, there are also characters whom we would like to strangle for ourselves and make them pay for the bad deeds they have done. There's Dolores Umbridge, Argus Filch, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, and many others. Whom do you dislike the most?

Dolores Umbridge obviously. I was so mad when i read the fifth book that I felt like I want to rip it off. She was just too annoying. And until the end of the story, there's still no signal about her being a good person. I hated Snape before, but he turned out to be a very nice and helpful guy, So did Malfoy. And that means left Umbridge. Feel like I want to beat her frog like face.

Yeah...ever since she did "hem,hem" I knew I'd hate her forever...and that quill of hers...I think there would be a lot of students who'd 'do a Weasley' if there would be more Umbridge! Cheers!

Dolores Umbridge, she abused her power and made out to be a do gooder, when really she was poor evil. At least the other evil characters admitted to being either evil or not nice from the beginning.

I agree about the half breed thing. Obviously care should be taken if someone is half giant, but she should not hate everyone without giving them a chance.

I didn't like Snape until the very last book.
I think there are different characters that I dislike the most in every book. I just finished watching The Order of the Phoenix today on dvd...again.
With that being fresh in my mind, I would say that right now I would choose Dolores Umbridge as the character I dislike most.
Though there are others in book 7 that I am sure I disliked more. I am not going to say why, for those that choose only to watch the movies. But, there were many tears shed while reading that final book!

but keep in mind when the last book came out both dudley an draco kind of saw the light I didnt like the aunt an uncle if I was harry I would of ran away as soon as I could walk an of course the was umbridge scary huh I couldn't stand her either

Well you forgot the worst were wolf Fenrir Greyback.
According to me,he is the next worst to Lord Voldemort.
Biting innocent children.
And making others life miserable.
And I hate him worst mainly because of what he did to Remus Lupin.

yeah, I quite forgot about Fenrir Greyback. I really hated him too, because he wanted to hurt Hermione and wanted to bite innocent children...and he smells of blood and filth...I think he's one of the "true evil" in the book...there's no going back for him...I do wish he was killed in the seventh book. Thanks for the response!

Like many others have said I think Dolores Umbridge is the worst of them. In real life you seldom (hopefully!)meet characters like Voldemort but there are many Umbridges who pretend they are doing what is good and proper but are really doing terrible things.

I dont like Umbridge, she's so mean. Also, I hate Bellatrix and the Dursleys. If ever they are real, I probably felt so bad about meeting these kinds of people.

I personally dont like Harry potter because even though i admire his ability to love and willingness to sacrifice himself for other people his anger issues (especially in the 5th book), sometimes stupidity, arrogance, feeling all alone and like nobody cares for him or understands hhim and his pride gets on my nerves. (re-read the 5th book and you will understand what i mean. I don't mind dolores umbridge and people like her because even though she is really mean and can admire the skill and thought that went into writing her character and developing her personality. I also intensely dislike petunia because of their two-facedness and stubborness and blatant rudeness and stupidity
