I am mylot illiterate!

I have been on this site for approximately 10 to 11 months. Not active the entire time, but for the last several months I have been. You'd be surprised at all the things I DON'T know. I just recently learned there was a mylot toolbar. Just yesterday I learned how to hover my mouse above my star to find out my rating. I had no idea. I guess its a matter of being stuck in a rut, doing what I have to do and not taking the time to check out anything else. So my question is, what other little mylot tips do you know, that you may want to share with me? Don't assume that it will be something I know, because chances are, it isn't. LOL.

I used to have the Mylot toolbar. It is so neat. I tried to download it again the other day. My computer will not let me because of a Trojan Horse virus or something like that. If my computer hadn't crashed awhile back, I would still have the MyLot toolbar. I just learned the hovering trick myself a short while ago.

I've had the toolbar for several weeks now and I've never had any problems with it. My boyfriend runs security programs all the time and has never detected a problem with the toolbar or believe me I'd hear all about it.

Hi Ms. Kbourgerie: A toolbar!!! Well, the paradox here is that in calling yourself mylot illiterate, you are making the rest of us more mylot literate! I had no idea there was a toolbar! Somehow that opens a whole new mylot world in my mind, a whole new world altogether. Just knowing that there are things you don't know makes us aware that there are things to know. Mind blowing, really! I now want to navigate those waters and explore unknown territory. You are truly an inspiration!!! Warm Regards, Cory

I only found about about the hovering over the star the other day also. Thanks for sharing re the toolbar. I really don't understand how any of it really works, all I do is respond to discussions, start a few myself, have fun and some days get so involved that my eyes and back suffer. I think one more response then off to bed then someone else starts a discussion and before I know it another two hours have passed. Ellie :D

I know how you feel. I was going to go to bed a few minutes ago and decided to answer to this post. Next thing you know I'll be looking up an hour from now. Smile.

I don't like reading those things either, although I probably should. I like learning first hand from members of the site, who have experience with the different options.

I have only been here for just over a month but I soon found that I had to find things out for myself. I did learn a lot from reading other people's responses, like you I had no idea about my rating until someone mentioned it in a post. When I first got the star I had no idea where it came from or what it meant, but I soon found out. Someone mentioned commenting on the news. I searched the site and could find no links to news articles, then one day I found a friend had commented on the news and from the link to their comment I found the myLot news articles. I still don't know where the link is, but I bookmarked it. I also found you can use the photos in the interests to change the images you see above the links to your interests. I was just viewing the photos for one of my interests when I found that.

Thank you. I didn't know you could change the photos in your interests. See I am learning something new already. Cool.

Eh eh. I cant believe I learnt about the star thing before you did. I have not checked out the mylot tool bar as yet though because I just tend to get on here and do what I have to do. I get too engaged sometimes to deviate to anything else. Last night I spent the first semblance of quality time to add colour to my profile page. Every thing else I know I have learnt from you and others and I look forward to learning more. Tips:...........Well lets see.........Sorry cant think of any right now I'll leave that to the experts.

LOL. I told you I'm mylot illiterate, so I'm not surprised that you knew about the star rating before I did.

I'm sure there is a ton about this site, and I too am completely lost. I just know how to sign in, and post, and that's about it. :) Then I log in tomorrow to see if I made any money. I should probably look around and see what I'm missing.

hi kbourgerie. I have to admit that I know very little about myLot, and the features. LOL. I have been in myLot for around three months, and I just noticed that there are so many hidden features (hidden for me, LOL) that are actually very useful for the members' earnings here. I've just realized that the members can submit their blogs to myLot so the other members would be able to read the articles of their blogs directly from myLot. Back then I thought that we would have to write something (the article) within myLot site, but I just found out that the original URL of the blogs were outside myLot. LOL. I think I am illiterate in myLot too. :P

I am a new MyLot member and I also don't know much about this website has to offer aside from the fact that they offer money when you do discussions or comments or upload images. Maybe the tip that I can give you is that, you must make an interesting discussions so that people will likely respond to your topics, giving you more earnings. Also, be descriptive as possible. :)

Just reading this i'm finding theres alot i didnt know. I've found though that checking the mylot faq doesnt tell me much. I didnt know about the toolbar or the news or the being able to change the photos of your interests. It took me 3 days to figure out how to change the avatar.
