biofuel

Do you think that biofuels are a good idea? There are two schools of thought on this subject. * The people who believe that biofuels are a bad idea say that using food grain to fuel cars will not significantly extend our oil fuel supply that is depleting rapidly. They fear that it will also endanger fuel security. The fact that food prices are rising rapidly adds fuel to that fire. * The pro-biofuels crowd disagrees with the fears that biofuels will endanger food security. The technology is evolving and becoming more efficient, a fact producers are quick to point out, and other fuel sources are being explored as well. * The possibilities of sky farming and genetic engineering add further twists into biofuel argument. What is your say? * Farming projects that take the plants off the land and out from under unpredictable weather!~Links * http://www.verticalfarm.com/

I am afraid of the after effects of bio fuels like the one happened in Mexico by using methanol as a bio fuel.

Can you please explain about what after affects? Something other than runaway food prices? (I'm half expecting little green frogs to climb out of the gas tank...)

i think its a really good idea to implement bio fuel as it would be easily available to us and can be grown in very short time unlike petrol and others which are very hard to find and are getting short in quantity.but it would be even better if v could arrage for something like electric or solar energy in a very effective manner.cause it is free to use solar energy and electric vehicles are really like low mainetnance and low poluting

You don't think biofuel is a cause of rapid food price rise?
