Of honor though... my sister's wedding last March 29 (saturday) Whew!!! i'm glad all went well, though not the a "dream wedding" but it was happy and memorable for all of us. It was the first time that i was chosen among three sisters as maid of honor. I didn't know what to do, but managed to do things i'm supposed to do with mama's help. Things i did that day: * helped in fixing the bridesmaids hair and make-up and some of the flower girls * did my mom's make-up and my own make-up too. * had to take pictures at times * assisted at the offerings * one of the scripture reader (no one was assigned) * see to it that my sisters' gown and head dress is in place.. * I sang my sister's favorite love songs as requested during pictorials. * again sang songs at the reception * distributed the giveaways * gave a speech hehehe i don't really know if i did it all well, there was no wedding coordinator hired so we(w/ my family) had to do it all, eventhe invitation card was designed by my little sister (youngest) and giveaways, my mom and me.With God's help, all went well and it's so nice to see my sister and her husband so happy and in tears of joy thanking God and all who've helped by the end of the program at the reception... Have you experienced something like this?God bless you guys...

Weddings are real fun, I also recently attended my cousin's wedding and enjoyed it a lot. I got to meet a lot of my old friends and relatives after a long time.

wow. it seems you were quite busy with your sister's wedding. and it also seems that you had fun no matter how busy you were! good for you! its really fun to do things for a love one especially on a special day like a wedding. i haven't experienced helping out in a wedding. all i had experience was be a bridesmaid for one of my cousins. but all i did then was walk the aisle and read the first reading. i was very young then so i didn't know exactly what i could have done. and the wedding wasn't really that big and there were enough people to do everything. but i did experience something like that during birthdays and field trips. its really hard to be part of something as busy as occasions like that. but in the end, you would feel satisfied because the occasion was successful. congratulations to you and your sister mycharm!

I was also a maid of honor when I was 24 years old and it was my first time and I really felt nervous about it. I did lots of things and did it for the love of my auntie and her husband.

Yup, unlike the bride's maids, being the maid of honor takes a lot of responsibilities. I'm sure you did your best as i did for our loved ones' special day! tc and God bless

I experienced that on the wedding of this two friend of mine.We assisted from the very first month of preparation until their honeymoon. That is a voluntary work because my friends family have a low income and they can afford even church wedding, but we forced them and done that because my girl friend is 3 months pregnant. Mostly we done is the same as yours. But we end up happy and fullfilled after the wedding. And hey congratulations, it is never easy to participate in that wedding arrangement, gatherings, offerings, but you had done that, and job well done.

The only time I had been part of a bridal entourage was at my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. I still haven't been part of any of my friends and other relatives because I am not fit into it - I am not so pretty and sexy, that's why. But it's okay, maybe in time one of my friends would ask me.

Hello dear jennifer, i'm sorry for my late reply... no don't say that you're not pretty because we all are beautiful. Even me, i've only been a bridesmade on my Eldest sister's wedding and my parent's 25th wedding anniversary and once a maid of honor of my 2nd sister. But i do sing most for most of the weddings i attended.I guess that's my role. Just to sing tc always dear, hugz for you
