planets in solar sys

can anyone tell me how many planets r there in our solar system. i think pluto was removed.why so?

they only recognize 8 now.pluto was demoted to a dwarf planet,partially because eris near by was even bigger than it although also called dwarf.

but i heard that they have discovered some new planets. is it not so?

they've found a bunch of "outer planets" that are not directly around our sun. and quite a few new moons for planets that are.
