Trying to lose weight on my thighs, but they are getting bigger!

April 4, 2008 6:41am CST
For the past few weeks I've been doing thigh exercises to try and lose a bit of the circumference around my thighs as it's one of the only things I really don't like about my body, the fact my thighs are big. Instead of getting smaller though they are actually growing, though they do feel firmer. This is not what I wanted and I wondered if anyone new any exercises that burn fat on the thighs without making them grow. Or do they perhaps get bigger before they get smaller when you first start working out with them?

You have my sympathy. Although my thighs aren't my specific problem, I am overweight basicly all over, but particularly my stomach & face. I dont think one can do spot weight reduction. Probably it is just as effective to loose weight all over. But if people here have ideas for weight loss on thighs, then go for it.

Yes I need to diet and lose fat all over to get slimmer thigh's, apparently it's one of the last places you lose weight off and it's really tough. My legs are aching after all the walking lunges I did yesterday so at least I know they work lol.
