Video gamers, which platform do you prefer when playing?

Which do you prefer? The PC, consoles (PS3, X360, Wii, etc.) or handheld (DS, PSP, cellphones etc.)? There are benefits of these platforms such as: PC - given that your rig is high, you're gaming is extreme. Graphics and sound can be realistic. The PC isn't a limited platform because it doesn't have a universal standard (i.e. not all PC builds are the same) meaning that it can be upgraded in the near future. Console - hardware is limited but is usually at its best. Consoles usually wear out after 5 years or so just to be replaced by their next generation. They are also universal meaning that all consoles are the same (i.e. the hardware of the PS3 can be the same as the other PS3) so you won't even bother upgrading it. Handheld - can usually be played just about everywhere you go. The great thing about it is its mobility. You can play it on the go or just at home. The downside of it is that hardware is limited, batteries can pose a problem when it runs out and it may be misplaced. As for me, I'm mainly a PC gamer. My setup for it is pretty good. I don't have a 360, Wii nor a PS3 but I have a PS2 which I still use it. And the handheld I've only got is a DS which does pretty good to me when I'm not at home. So tell us what you prefer among the 3 :p

Well... I don't have any of the new gens. Really no games out for them. I do have most old gen systems, except for the Xbox. So I'm not really brand loyal. I'm more into the games. The few Xbox games I would play are out for PC. As for the new gens: 360 and PS3 have nothing that I care to play. Or so little that it's not worth the price tag. I AM intrested in a wii, but it's too hard to find. I have for old systes though: NES SNES PSX PS2 GC N64 DC Genisis Most of these I got after the fact for rather cheap, as well as the games. (Exception being a few of the SNES and Genisis games.) I also play PC games, and have most of the handheld. But I'm a big follower of the RPG gendre, so I jump at whatever has the best games in that gender. Which right now, in the new systems, seems to be the Wii. (Surprisng but true from what I've seen) I also have most of the handheld systmes, again for the RPG factor, though resent I've gotten into stratigy games as well.

PC for me, higher variety of games and using a mouse gives you way more control and movement on shooters

I use my Pc for graphics intensive games. I like the Wii for its innovative nature and for the long running classic series titles. Xbox360 for Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band.

i personally like the PC and PS2. If i were to choose between the two i would choose the PC. Its because pc offers more grip to the game than on the ps2 console. In PC you can maneuver you character as how u like it to be. It has two controls the mouse an keyboard unlike ps2 that it has only one.

It all started when I was five.. I first saw a friend of mine play Mario on a gaming console.. from then .. till now I love to play games.. I have a PC at home.. not a high end but still can pull off games from yest years. Borrowed a friends PS2 and spent a whole month on it playing POP, Burnout and many other games.. Will buy a PSP soon. The main advantage of PC is that we can play all sorts of games on it .. FPS

I equally like the pc and consoles i have a gamecube its not the best platform but its good for when families over being that it starts with 4 empty controller slots. I also have a ps2 its cool but my games are limited of only 2 slots, plus its more costy for accesories.

I have a ps2, xbox 360 and obviously the pc. The only games I play on my pc are football manager and worms. But then on consoles you get it good because you get games that are tied to that particular system such as the gran tourismo series on playstation and then project gotham racing on xbox, just to name a few. So I think that each system has some benefits that one of the other systems does not have, and so would be hard to choose a fave.
