Movie theaters and bathrooms

Todays modern movie theaters are really big and fancy these days. What I want to know is why when they plan these theaters out do they not put more bathrooms in. I went to a theater tonight where it literally took me almost 5 minutes to walk to the bathroom from the theater we were in. That means if I have to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the movie I am going to miss 10 to 15 minutes of the movie. This is very frustrating to me. They could at least put a small bathroom in at each end of the theater, along with the big one. That way if you need to run out you can get the job done quickly and get back to your movie.

our theaters was kinda like that too. so before we find our seats we just usually go to the bathrooms so that we don't need to go to the bathroom while we were watching

that is how our theatre is too...i like it though because it has stadium seating which after you watch a movie in a theatre with stadium seating you'll never go back to the traditional theatres - it is so nice to not worry about being able to see over someone's head!!!! my big pet peeve is not the distance of the restroom but the cleanliness - they are always so gross. i cannot believe it that people are incapable of flushing a toilet!!!!! this particular theatre has this problem quite a bit to the point i don't use their restrooms unless it's an emergency!!

Unfortunately for me I inherited my mom's tiny bladder, plus I always get a big soda. It is very rare that I can get through an entire movie with out having to go to the bathroom. Even if I don't drink anything, I will still usually have to go. The bathrooms in this theater are usually clean, we have another older theater that has cheaper tickets, their restrooms are gross.

Which theater do you go to? The ones that I go to always have nice big restrooms and hardly any lines for the ladies room. I live in Los Angeles County, California for the record.

There is a big bathroom it is just on the other side of the theater, and it takes about 5 minutes just to walk to it. So if you have to go during the movie and it takes 5 minutes to walk there, and a couple minutes to do your thing, and 5 minutes to walk back you miss almost 15 minutes of the movie. This particular theater I went to the other night was an AMC theater. We have another large theater in town where they actually have 4 bathrooms, that is really nice.

I agree with you. I think there should be more bathrooms in movie theathers. If there aren't there is major crowding in the ones that are there at the end of a movie. There aren't normally 5 or 6 people who see a movie. Heck, I normally GO with 5 or 6 people.
