Yes it is true. Apple is a healthy fruit (if consumed in limit). An Apple a day keeps the doctor away. But then good apples are quite expensive and one cannot have it like bananas. Therefore I would like to add: an apple a day keeps your money away.

Well apples are very good for you but I think oranges would have more Vitamin C. However, to keep the doctor away forever I'd say 'A clove of garlic a day keeps the doctor away'. Garlic is the ultimate immunity booster and whenever I feel myself getting sick I eat heaps of garlic and it never fails to fix me up!

Well the proverb is 'An apple a day keeps the Doctor away'. The proverb is so true because an apple contains lots of vitamins and minerals which help the body to improve the immune system...

It very well may be. I got an email today that said that eating an apple a day can really help diabetics keep their sugar levels down.
