How do I get people to see a discussion?

Today there weren't many discussions from my friends that I wanted to respond to, so I took a trip to the link "Discussions with no responses" There I found a discussion that was very interesting. It was about a woman who has just came to Mylot. She enjoys the community, but has one problem with it. You know about the ads that we have here all over the place? Well some may have noticed, and some haven't, but some of those ads are about how to get prescription drugs Fed-Ex'ed to you. This woman is a recovering addict from prescription drugs, and has been clean for 10 months. This is unnerving her because she is still in the shaky period. Anyway, her discussion is about how to get MyLot to understand that these type of people also visit here, and it may not be so good to have those type of ads. I suggested to her that she gather the people that respond in the affirmative, and ask MyLot admin if there was anything they could do. This would be a perfect plan, unfortunately, her being new to Mylot, she doesn't have many friends, and she unwittingly posted this discussion in the general discussion area. I would like to get her some more attention, because this is an issue that affects a good portion of the people here. I can't post a link in a discussion, because that would get it deleted (TOS). Messaging all my friends is out, because I have 17 pages of them, it would take too long. So how do I get some eyes on her discussion? Any ideas?
