Do sometimes feel bad for animals or birds that are caged all the the. Do you think they'd be better off free in the wild??

We should think of it in both sides. The animals have foods to eat and they don't need to search foods if they are caged. And they will be safe ,other animals or people cann't hurt them.Contrarily, they will be free and can do their favorite things.I think they had better be caged and they are not like human.Free isn't so important for them, they will be happy if they have foods and have some place to live.Don't you think so?

I agree with you. But sometimes (I think )if they knew what it means to be free, to move about, they'd love to do so!

Sometimes but you have to understand that some animals in captivity are there because they were rescued from the wild. Many organizations only keep them in cages until they are rehabilitated enough to release back into the wild. On the other hand people that run places such as puppy mills are cruel and should be punished accordingly. I will never buy an animal, particularly a dog from a pet shop because I have seen specials on the puppy mill industry and how horribly they treat those animals.
