Does your life revolve around nothing but work?

Mine does right now. I have to work alot of hours to make sure my family gets what they need and advance in life. I'm sure it will all pay off one day though. Do you work alot of hours? What is the reason for your work these days? Are you helping your family or just a workaholic?

I have to work to pay my bills and buy food. I would like to have extra but as long as I can pay the bills and feed my family I'm happy. It sucks it takes two incomes to survive anymore. I do make time for my family when I can. I don't do much on the weekend because of family.

I know what you mean. I am hopimg to get caught up eventually and get things paid off so we don't have to work so may hours and days straight. It wears a person out and all work with no play is very hard on a persons soul.

Yeah, there have been times in my life where it seems like that. With me, it's either feast of famine. Either I have too many hours or too few. So, when I work a lot of hours, I save my money so that when I work too few hours, I will have some money to live on. I don't have a family to support, just me. Sometimes, though, I just like to work and earn money.

I work at least that many hours per day online. I don't mind work but seven days a week right now is getting old but it has to be done. I hope I can sit back and relax soon though after reaching my goals. I like being home too after working outside of the home for many years, so I really cannot complain too much.

I am exactly the same way as you are, but a lot of it as well is because I am sick all the time and even when I have the opportunity to get out I just can't. I hope that one day I will feel better.

I do work 8:30 to 3:45 every day. Then I come home and I work for a market research company every evening, basically waiting for calls to come to me that I can turn around and see if I can get people to answer a 5 minute survey. I sometimes do this on Saturday also. I try to work every day during the school year because I am off during the summer. This year I will be babysitting a friend's daughter a couple of days a week, then I might even try to get a cashiering job a couple of nights a week. I am doing it because my husband's overtime has been temporarily cut back and it does hurt. My money is used for groceries and for fun money.

No, I am not that "workaholic" type of person but I work hard. I just make sure that i have time to pamper myself with a massage every other week, see my friends, boyfriend and my family as well. I work 8.5hours a day unless we have to render OT (overtime) for maximum of 3 hours. I can't work if I am stressed out so I need to see them to destress myself. Imanage to balance my work and personal needs!

Hi There, I would have to admit that I do indeed work too much. I would say that I am a workaholic. It did lead to the end of my marriage that is for sure. I never had any bad intentions by it, I just try to provide the best I can. I have forgot about balance in life. I think balance is the key. Maybe someday I will figure out how to find it! cheers,

I was recently called a workaholic, but believe me if I didn't have to work so much just to make ends meet, I gladly slow down just a little bit!

Hello stephcjh, Honestly, I am not a workaholic. I have to work because I still can't afford to stay at home and doing nothing *smiles* I have a good life but as a normal human being, I just want more - for the sake of my family and our future. I want it to be easier in the future where I can just spend more time with my family and do whatever I love to do, without worrying about my financial anymore.

I try to not let it be, but probably yes a little..I do make time for my family for at least 30 minutes if not longer..Of course with a 5 y/o, he demands more attention..

It was but now it's not. I've learned to take it easy and have also learned that there are much more important things than work. My family and friends are important to me too. My grandmother recently fell down so I had to spend a lot of time taking care of her. I rather spend more time with the person I love than work.

no i dont allow work to take the shine off my life,i work hard and play hard,i always try to keep a balance between the two, though i agree that i do work longer but i never joke with my play time.it keeps me sane and allows me to get creative, sometimes i just take time off from work and come back fresh,i wouldnt say am a workaholic, but i enjoy working, idleness will kill me in less than a week

When my girls were small I used to have to do at least 12 hour days at work so the mortgage would get paid and missed out on so much of them growing up so I know where you are coming from, but these days with my son so small even though I work hard, I work smarter and do less hours so I can spend time with my son also. I wouldn't class myself as a workaholic I just balance work and home life well these days and do what I must to meet my families needs and no more. Ellie :D

My life is my work. Before, I always hangout at mall with my friends and my family, but because of my job I rarely do that.

I am a bit of a workaholic yes, when I used to work before I had all my children the job I had I tended to be there more than at home. It was very hard when I first stopped work but then with the children I became too busy to notice. I now do some work online and have my fingers in a few pies so to speak, and it does take some time up trying to keep up with it all. I often stay up until late at night trying to keep up with it as well as look after the children through the day.

No. Not the money, just taking care of my kids. Now this is work!
