I Was Just Wondering, My Vet Says To Give My Cat Only Food And Water??? I've Been Giving My Cat A Little Bit Of Milk (about 1/2 a cup) Every Day Since She Was Born And I Haven't Seen Any Ill Effects, Just Thought She Might Need To Rethink That. lol

It does cause stomach upset and diariah and they should not drink it but if you want to give your kitty milk give him cat milk, you can get it at the store. It is better for him.

I do not see any problems with giving a cat milk on occasion... just a little bit. I think that it might cause stomach upset and diarrhea if too much is given too often.

I have been giving my kittens a little bit of milk each day since I got them to help them put on a little weight they were so skinny when I got them they looked malnurised they seem to be doing fine with the milk but only a little bit at a time and only once a day.

Yes it can cause diarrhea and cats don't need it once they get past kitten-hood. Water is much better for them. I only give mine a little milk once in a while as sort of a treat. They are most happy with their water bowl.
