I have about 50 different lillies. They spread each year like weeds too. I planted strawberries last year and got a few fruits. I noticed the other day that they have really sent out a lot of shoots so they will be plentiful this summer. I've started green beans, bell peppers, banana peppers, tomatoes, and cntaloupes indoors already and have more planned for my garden. Corn, zuchinni, onions, squash probably acorn, maybe radishes, lettuce and a few other tasty things. I have a large yard with more room than I need for the dog. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

i'm going to plant seeds of sorrow so that i'll have something for christmas.. just kidding.. if i have a choice, i'll be planting something i can eat or mix with what i eat.. i like calamansi plants... it's a philippine lemon.. little green citrus fruits that you can use for eating and making juices.. love it.. or maybe some papaya tree.. good for the skin.. but if you must plant flowers, why not try orchids? the white and violet ones? i've always love those hanging around the backyard.. they're so pretty..

yeah, here, it's always springtime (well, lately, it seems like it's always summer because of global warming).. i'm glad you're planting.. it's great for the environment and it's beautiful for the yard as well... hmm, when the time comes that i have my own house.. i'll have eucalyptus trees around it so it'll always smell fresh..

So far I have planted some rosemary and some cilantro. I have also planted a few types of flowers and soem blubs. I am also trying to grow basil and chives from seeds. My "garden" is actually the balconey of my apartment so everything is in pots and window boxes. I'm just glad to have the outside place to have some herbs!

I really do love lilacs, unfortunately I am horrendously allergic to them. I home school my children and as a science project we plant different things. Last year we got a big fat F, as far as making them grow goes. This year we planted, flower seeds, lots of them, carnations, sir williams, and I forget the rest. So far so good. As far as veggies go, we pot planted them this year, instead of right in the ground. It allows me to bring them in if it gets chilly, and whatever lives in the ground here in Florida cant get at them. You know what so far so good. They are coming along nicely. Matter of fact they are so big we just had to separate them into other pots. We might get an A this year lol.
