If you search on YouTube for "Lakeland cheerleader," the first hit will show the beating of a sixteen-year-old girl because of some dilemma over MySpace, an international website that includes weblog space and more. Six girls and two boys, between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, planned to kidnap and beat the girl, which is exactly what they did. The attackers said they were upset with the the apparent "trash-talk" that the victim posted on her MySpace page. Therefore, they planned all of this out in order to embarrass her by posting their own video of the beating on the internet. What do you think about the whole situation? The video itself is stunning to watch. Do you think the teenagers should be tried as adults in court?

I live an hour south of Lakeland and this has been the #1 news story. The poor girl has permanent hearing loss in one ear and possibility of blindness in the eye on the same side. I've seen a bit of the video and it churns the stomach. The girl was trying to defend herself the whole time. I hope the parents sue the EFF outta the biatches who did this (sorry this story boils my blood!!)

Of course they should. There is no sense in it. People just don't know how to let anything go anymore. And the moment someone disagrees with them or says something about them, they can't handle it and do something drastic when they know it's wrong. There should not be any mercy for those teens.
