How far would you go for Designer items?

I recently watched The Tyra Banks show and it was about wanting and spending on designer items by mostly women. They showed a contest of the 3 girls eating blended food of their choice-desert, main meal, vegetable, juice all in one puree. One even gobbled up and made herself a mess. What's the price ? A limited edition Luis Vitton Blue bag. Wow, what people would do to get designer items. I would not myself go that far just to get a Designer item even if it is worth a million dollars. Would you? Are you fond of designer items? How far will you go for them?

I would do that for the designer bag, granted I would probably sell the designer bag and get lots of cheaper bags with the money. But eating pureed food isn't that bad. I eat soup. I have eaten baby food. There is no real difference.

Yes I know what they asked them to do is not gross enough and I would probably do the same to resell the bag and buy stuff that I wanted. But if its gross as like that in fear factor and involve danger, then I wont.

Yeah I would not do anything dangerous, because at the end of the day if you die, you cannot enjoy the handbag can you?

I personally think a lot of the designer items are quite ugly, but that is only my opinion. They are too glitzy and glammy, and when I'm going out for a casual outting, I don't need to be all glitz and glam, that is why it is a casual outting! I don't have any designer bags, and I don't particularly want any. My soon to be sister-in-law as a Coach wallet that cost her ex-boyfriend $200. She also has a Coach purse that cost over $300, but she got that as a gift from a family member. I think it's rediculous. I wouldn't even want something that expensive on my arm, for fear that someone would steal it! I would constantly be afraid I would be robbed. So no, I don't like designer items, and I wouldn't go that far to get them either.

I would probably do the blended thing, but I wouldn't eat bugs or any of the other really gross things like they used to show on fear factor (is that show even on anymore?). I'm not a big fan of Louis Vuitton, but there are other designers I admire. Designer items do cost so much because of the name, but they are usually very high quality and made to last a lifetime. I have a few purses that will one day go to my daughters, they retain their value incredibly well - my goodness, just check out any auction site under vintage and you'll see. A Louis Vuitton trunk from the early 1900s sells there for about $2500 - that's half the cost of a new one, and over 100 years old! A Hermes bag from the 60s cost almost as much as one bought today.
