Hi, All, Here's my problem: My husband decided to get a puppy (I was not thrilled) I love her now, but she will not "go" outside no matter how long she is out there, but sure enough, when you let her in, she goes straight for the newspaper.(Grrrr!)If you have any tips, I would be very grateful! Thanks for reading!

Hi Raydene! Thank you for the advice as well, I am going to print all the instructions. We will be in our new home in 4 days so hopefully, when we get back to normal, she will catch right on. She has a crate that goes into on her own all the time, but we haven't been locking her up because she is over the chewing everything up stage. Thanks again for the advice. Looks like it could work. God Bless!

I'm glad I came across your discussion on your puppy. I just recently as well got a puppy. I love her and me and my husband wanted her together. Well for advice on housebreaking your puppy, I have some for you. I haven't gotten mine completely housebroken, but I am working on it and I'm sure it will out work just fine. What you should do is allow her to use the newspaper or the housebreaking pee pads, that you can easily buy at Walmart, and telling her to "Go potty" and when she does tell her "That's a good girl." Continue to do it for a couple of days and then slowly move the pee pad closer to the door, until you finally get her outside to pee. You just have to have a little more patience. I've been working with my puppy for a little while. And I always bring her to her pee pad and tell her to "go potty" and she does. I just can't take her outside yet, because she still needs a few more shots. Just try it out, you really have nothing to lose.

Thanyou for your response. She is really good at only using the newspaper, we are in the process of moving,so I know she's confused from all the changes, so, we are being pretty patient with her. Sounds like it might work! Thankyou. :) Good luck with your puppy as well.
