Okay. For the past few weeks I have been working at home, caring for my grandmother as she has been ill for some time, and requires 24/7 care now. I have to say this is the most fun I have had at any job! We have spent the last week talking about our family, and myself and my brother and all the weird things we did when we were children. ANYWAY, we started to talk about all the weird toys we had when we were little. ( seriously..we had EVERYTHING haha )I'm talking things you can't find in any toy stores now ANYWHERE. Maybe you might find them on Ebay- but that's about the only place. I started this topic because I SWEAR I'M NOT NUTS! haha! My brother and I had some pretty sweet toys when we were kids. My grandmother thinks I'm crazy and she has never heard of these toys and says I am making it up lol! So I am making this discussion in hopes that SOMEONE will remember some of these weird toys we had- maybe you had them too. Here is a list of the ones I can remember that I'm SURE you can't find and if you went to a toy store to ask for them-they would look at you like you were crazy. Here is my list: Talkboy ( my brother HAD to have it haha- it was a little hand held recorder featured in the movie "Home Alone") Beast Men ( I don't remember the EXACT names of these little guys but you MAY remember them as small beast-like creatures with little squares on their bellies that when u pressed on them, a hologram would appear. I can remember my brother pressing his thumb into these little squares until it turned white trying to get the picture to show up. lol) Fairy Tails ( yes fairy TAILS- NOT fairy TALES. They were small birds of pink, purple, etc with EXTRA long tails of many colors. Also- with these fairy tails you could buy the fairy tail house. It came complete with an elevator type thing that brought them to the second level, and every perch for them to sit on in the house was a bar of sorts. ALSO you could open and close the feet on these bird toys to close over your finger or hand so you could carry them everywhere as though they were actual pets. ) also- Pound puppies and pound kitties AND Lady Lovely Locks ( this is something I have NEVER met ANYONE who knew about) And last on my list- DINO RIDERS! ( if ANYONE remembers what the heck these are- I'd be interested to know.) I'm SURE that I'm forgetting a lot- but here is a start. Does anyone else remember weird toys from when they were kids that you can't find anywhere now?

Oh I agree. A lot of cartoons now look the same, have the same general theme, the imagination seems to have gotten lost. :(

I remember the Beastmen cartoon but I don't have the toys. Wohoo!~ Dinoriders!~ I had the Valorian's ( good guys ) Struthiomimus & Rulons ( bad guys ) Kentosaur with Krok, Emperor Krulo's second in command. I was selling them off in a garage sale to raise funds for my former church youth fund but somehow it got stolen my Kentosaur, darn. And it seems that nobody really knew the value & appreciated it. I stil have the 2 little comic books that came with the toys though. I had my M.A.S.K. Toys as well - Thunder Hawk with Matt Trekker & Wild Cat. I wasn't selling on eBay back then. My wife & I said what a waste it was, if not we could have sold it off on eBay to those who really know the value of these stuff.

Pound puppies you can get at Toys R Us. The only other one I recognize on your list was dino riders which I am petty sure was a cartoon show. I believe it had something to do with people who rode around on dinosaurs. It was similar to He-Man. At one point we had a VHS tape of my brothers with the show on it.
