From childhood till now have you tried to find happiness in little things in your surrouding? Like have you ever tried to think that I should play with the air around me? Or I am myself a kite and can fly with colours in that air? The season has ever told you, that why are you sad ? You are guest to the new season? You can flow like a river and can fly like a butterfly towards the goal? Have you thought that clouds stay at a house so near you? Life is sweet experience that is worth tasting? who will stop you in the road, the sky is boundless and it will go with you whereever you go! Or even the road of sky is open to you and you can find the star you were searching for long? you can be bright like sunlight and can reach the destination..... It may seem like wishful thinking, but just go out and think ....... May be you feel happy......

Girls maybe be born to be a person with great fancy. I often think that there is another world that is quite similar to our's. I even fancy that people there are doing the same things as us, so each person on the earth can find his or her corresponding part in that world. I am happy, so she is happy at the moment too. Hence, I always try my best to be happy and do my job with great enthusiasm for a simple idea in my mind, that is , to let a person in another world be happy. Haha, funny, isn't it?

What an excellent and amazing Post! I am wondering why did not others read this beautiful and meaningful post and contributed their thoughts. Yes, I love to imagine that I am flying in clouds. Sometimes their formation is such that they look like small and beautiful mountains or hills. We cannot see air, but we can always feel it, its sound is mesmerizing. When cool breeze blows, we feel delighted in our heart, it gives us a soothing feeling. I also feel surpised to note how and where the sky and earth (twain)meet. How beautiful the full moon looks at night! How interestingly sparkling tiny stars in sky attract our undivided attention! In brief, I love nature and I love to give wings to my imagination.

I love looking at the sky during the day to see what shapes they make. I also use to love to look at rainbows and imagne that there was a pot of gold at the other end. I also love looking at starts at night to see what shapes I can make out of them.

I find happiness in small things especially in nature. Lately I have been noticing the tiny little flowers in my yard and in the ditches along the road, the ones that God planted and they are so beautiful, Maybe a lot of people don't appreciate them but I think that he planted them there for us and they are more beautiful and carefree than the flower gardens we labor over. I also enjoy beautiful sunsets because I think this is a piece of art that will never be exactly the same again as it is tonight.

I used to imagine what if I were a ghost in white who didn't walk with feet but flow in the air, which my classmates and my frieds would be really shocked. :)

I am always amazed by the little things in my life. I have learned that I am to never give up on my hopes and dreams no matter what it takes to reach them or what I have to go through to get there. I always look at all possibilities in my life. I never stop dreaming about what my future holds.

hi subha! i have always believed that there's a "child" within every one of us. some people might deny that child and suppress it but it is there. people who acknowledge that child can easily experience happiness even with the small and simple things like eating a delicious food, running after a flying butterfly, seeing beautiful flowers, etc. the nice simple things that the world bring can already give happiness to people who don't expect big things and are easily satisfied on what comes to them. people just need to see the beauty around us, be optimistic and live life with flying colors.

Subha, that was quite beautiful. I do like to take pleasure in the "little things" that we are prone to take for granted and forget to appreciate. Thank you for the reminder this lovely spring morning.

I don't have such ability really :( My responsibilities are making me a pessimistic person and I am not able to enjoy little things in my life ater all. I am just trying to overcome my responsbilities, I mean my exams at university. they are causing a big headache and that headache takes away my concentration as well. I don't know how to get rid of this situation and start studying more healthly

My status in life made me travel to some places in the Philippines at least once a year. I and my colleagues are sent to many different areas to do our exposure and all that. So, little by little, I have found that after doing travels for more than 13 years or so, I have come to seen the different faces of ordinary people, the smiles that embraced us, the simple homes that welcomed us, and the scenic beauties that wonder us. Yes, I have been into many places and when I kind of feel melancholic with myself, I stroll around to the places only to be fed with a profound sense of joy I can't even explain. I think this is what you're trying to say. There are things in life that are so simple they are so given, the only thing we need to do is to notice it with our lenses of gratitude, appreciatation and readiness to acknowledge the wonder within them. There are times when just being alone with mother nature, say in a beach or mountaintop gives one a sense of being loved. That's how I experienced things to be. It's a wonderful feeling I can't even describe when I am there. And I know, I am not alone in the way I feel about appreciating the joy that I get from just tasting life as it enfolds. Hope that contributes. And thanks for posting.

since my childhood i have been a free spirit doing what i felt was right for me and something that makes me happy.i am a born dreamer as my mother puts is.i have always been intrigued by the way world works around me.i get happy when the raindrops pour down my face or when i see kids playing down on the road buys with each other and laughing and cajoling.watching stray dogs playing with each brings me unexplained feeling down in my heart.all these things and many more makes me feel how wonderful life is and how easy happiness is worth achieving.i have thought many times to be a butterfly or to a rainbow and be colorful and happy!!

Amazing topic. I was raised in the house that my parents still own. Lately, I've been living here with my four children and every night after dinner, we take a walk around the block. What's so special about that? I take the stroll as slowly as I can, soaking in the beauty of the Sonoran desert whilst it's in bloom. I see the dull green cacti with vibrant purple flowers...the Creosote bush with the fuzzy white bulbs...the way the bees dance along side us, the lizzards sunning themselves on the rocks, the squirrels at play...all of these things I grew up with and was lost to me when I moved away from that area and into the city. Now, my children can enjoy it as well as something I never had the guts to do: hike the mountains.

Just to give you a little review, I understand why a lot of people didn't respond to this discussion. No offense, but the question isn't clear, and you were kinda all over the place. I like the concept of this post, but you need to focus a little more. Now that I have that out of the way. I do like simple pleasures. I always look in awe when I get the rare chance to see a rainbow. And I love to listen to a stream of water when I am hiking a little through the woods. I also love it on a clear night when I can see many stars, especially when I am out in the rural areas, where there aren't many street lights. There you can see millions of stars that you won't be able to see in the city.

I do not remember my childhood but I do witness my little nieces and nephews living happily day after day. I guess in their dictionary, there is only happiness and play. What wishful dream we can have if we can behave like little children.

That's really cool what you wrote. I guess I don't look at it so poetically as you do but yes, I do appreciate life's little pleasures.

I don't have to "try" most times. Its just great seeing nature and the wonders as they are. A warm spring day in a meadow or forest can do wonders in terms of simple amazement. Sunsets and sunrises (plus night skies) will do the trick too.
