Is Anyone else In Shock That Michael Was Booted Off Idol?

yes, my mouth is still open-- that wasn't fair not to cut last year's idol gives back contestant--for the elimination-- and this year have it done to this year's contestant.

I completly agree. I thought sure it was one of the 2 girls. I mean both of them have been the lowest rated before. I voted for Micheal 3 times this past Tuesday. He sounded so much better then both of those firls.

I was shocked, he should have stayed. I don't know how Christy keeps staying, she has been in the bottom quite a bit.

I was very disappointed to see Michael Johns have to leave! I think he will still make it though. I think Jason should have been the one to go before Michael though. My favorite to win this year is David Cook.

I knew there would be discussion about this morning. I was really shocked last night. Of all the people I really didn't think he would go out. At this point it is really hard though because they are all good, and have their own style. Sometimes I feel the votes are more of a popularity contest than a singing contest. Based just on singing alone and that nights performance alone, there were a couple of people that were easily not as good as everyone else. I am very disappointed, but at this point I am sad with who ever goes now.

I could not believe my ears. I voted on Tuesday for Michael. THis is the first time I voted this year and it was because I thought Simon (who I ususually love) was wrong as Michael's rendition on the Aerosmith song was terrific. I first thought it may have been because of his Aussie background but then that would mean Carly should go as she is Irish.

I was going to start a discussion with the exact same title, too funny!!!!! I could not believe it and he couldn't either. At first, I thought it was the same gag that they pulled on Jordin last year. I honestly thought Carly was going, and she kinda of thought so too. I agree with you that America got it wrong this time. I don't think Simon can call it a popularity contest anymore.
