Bed Time

My 4yo son's bedtime can fluctuate from 7:30 to about 9:00. Most nights he goes down around 8:00-8:30. I try to keep him on a definite routine, but because I only have my son 50% of the time I'm selfish and treasure all the time I have with him. Hope I'm not doing more harm than good. He doesn't seem any worse for wear.

Watch out, he is going to know that he has you wrapped about his little finger. LOL Hey, I completely get it. If I had my children only half the time, I would probably share my bed all night with them just so that I would have time even in sleep! I treasure my children!!! I love the summer time and breaks from school! We stay up late watching tv, talking, or even reading or doing art together. Its awesome. Fall break is next week! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!

My kids don't have strict bed times either. They are 5 and 8 and ususally go to bed between 8:30 and 9:30 on school nights. On weekends sometimes if they have been good I let them stay up as late as they want. We have a little slumber party, watch movies and play games. I don't think there is any harm in it and they are pretty good kids so why not let them have fun. They know that it is just once and awhile, not every night.
