Remember the sound of a dial-up modem?

Wow, I sure do remember that annoying sound. I use get real tired of waiting for my internet to connect and listening to that sound. I would sign into the network and then I would go away. I would walk upstairs and walk around my room and then walk back down to the computer, so I wouldn't have to listen to the noise. I don't have dial-up anymore, I currently have internet through Verizon broadband, this way I can have internet access wherever I go. But I know my in-laws still have dial-up. I was down at their home for Christmas and we were signing on to do something and I remember hearing it. It was the first time I heard the dial-up connection in some time.

I have cable now. * However, the days of the dial up screech will always be a reason for me to give thanks to the relative silence of the cable. * I still deal with the dial up screech when I need to send a fax to someone. My fax is connected to the dial up modem. When my mother heard the fax for the first time, her reaction was...interesting.

Hi there Sergedan! I remember that sound really well. It is annoying but back when I was in college and we don't have DSL in our house, it sounded heavenly to me.

i had a 52kbps modem it's dial sound is same to your video sound but i mute that sound. i think everyone who uses dialup mute this sound there is a option. Now i have a broadband but i downloaded your video i will show it to my friends.
