OK, whats the friggin problem?

Whoa! Why? Well, it's somehow a reality that still in life, there are some people we can't just simply trust. I don't know and I don't have to point for others but I observe that myself. I got into 99 but went down to as low as 96 until I gained back 98 by now. But that's fine, it will just say that, we have to work to enroll them to our hearts and up to the time when they will realize the wrong they got themselves into and mend up for it. It is neither our care or our responsibility but still we just have to enjoy ourselves to those who still believes that we are worthy of having the best we desire here at mylot. Take it easy, Kb.. You're still in the middle of a red and a blue, since you're still rating 95/100. Just create and post more good discussions, then you'll see that you'll get back on you're usual rating. Consider yourself lucky as well, at least your's did move while mine has been dormant for more months now (still 93/100, no matter how hard the effort I put in my posts). Also, I would not think that someone else did rated me negatively. Since if that's how things work, then I shouldn't be still having a red star or I could've end up with a 2 or 1 star.. I use to carry a blue star here, but somehow haven't earned it back since then..

The trolls are back and I don't know who they are. Others have also lost their blue star and are down to a red and even a yellow. I don't know who has a grudge against you or my other friends but someone is doing this. They have nothing better to do than ruin it for everyone else. I still think they should get rid of the star system altogether.

I'm sorry to see this has happened to you kbourgerie. I've heard of trolls going around and rating people negatively. I guess they get a kick out of it. Hopefully whoever is doing this will come forward, unless they already have? I've had my rating go up and down doing the yo-yo thing. But I didn't let it get to me (much) and just continued posting as I usually posted and my star rating went back up in no time at all. I'm sure yours will too, as most mylotters tend to rate honestly.

I hear you kbourgerie mine has yet again dropped overnight this time from a 95 down to 91 (I think) last week it was from 99 down to 91. I think mylot should make a policy that no one can enter a negative against the same person more than once a day and not to exceed 4 or 5 times in a week. IT would help to keep things honest.

Who knows why people give others negative ratings? Only they know and you probably wouldn't get an honest answer out of them as to why either. Personally, I don't stress over those things, as long as my rating is pretty good then I'm not fussed... I really don't need a blue star (though it would be nice to have one... but it really isn't important). If there is someone engaging in some petty vendetta against you by seeking out your posts to give you a negative you can comfort yourself with this knowledge... that while they do so they are not earning as much as they could.

You are a 9, what are you so upset about? I don't get why people get all worked about about that darn star.

Without checking out all your discussions, I can't say for sure why someone rated your negative. It certainly wasn't me. I rarely, if ever, rate anyo0ne negative. There are some people out there who rate negatively for twop reasons: 1. There are those people who just can't accept that you may have a different opinion to them. 2. There are a few weirdoes out thee who seem to delight in just being malicious. Neither of these situations are your fault. Of course, if you can identify who did this, I would report them to admin.

i think its not only you, its me also. this morning i am seeing i am down at many things in mylot. i can just give you some instants 1. till yes, my reputation was 97/100, now 96 2. mylot rating was 49 now 175 3. relationships rating was 274 now 679 and down in most cases. i just can't understand why some is making me down or its something else.

personally, i wouln't vent my frustration publicly as it may attract more negative feedback from people that don't know you yet and think you are just whining. that said, you'd have to really post something aweful to get a neg from me, in fact i just noticed the rating button. i'd recommend you ask a moderator to check their logs, assuming they have logs, and ask them to investigate whether a particular person, or a group of persons with the same internet i.p. adress seems to be hunting down your posts and flagging them as negative without good reason. this is a busy site so i'd also assume that they have a few persons, maybe community volunteers, that would review each post that got flagged negatively to see if it was genuine, and maybe even ask them to explain in some cases and then removing false negatives. i wouldn't worry about it to much since your rating is still pretty high, but some people are so unscrupulous that they'd actually create like 10 or more accounts that they hardly use, except for pulling down others with negative feedback. people pretend to be beautiful girls to build their friends lists and people even create extra user ids to bid on their auctions to drive up the price, so expect anything from 'simple' minds, but in adverse conditions definitely notify the admin. oh, and it is good to not be generic. you want people to either love you or hate(dis-like) you. that's how you develop a following, not by playing it safe.

Well, you are not alone. My rating just went down two points today. I am not surprised if it goes down further. Never mind about that, just continue to post good discussions. I see all your discussions are good, so I believe in no time you'll be in blue star again. Keep posting.

As you know I don't ever rate anybody either way. I think that if someone has been doing this to you than it is a rotten thing to do and they should have their own rating reset to zero. That way, maybe they'll learn to think more carefully about what they are doing. If people don't like me, or you, they don't have to post.

Well I shall just stand up and tell you that it was not me! I do not know why anyone would want to rate you negatively your posts are always really good, there would be no reason that I could see that anyone should want to do that to you.

I too have decreased. From hard earned and illusive 9, it's now back to my old friend 8. I don't know who did that to me. Something has to be changed by mylot. If this is the case, any trigger happy fellow with a dubious judgment can just have his way decreasing the rating of anyone he does not like that much anytime. They should not just allow this to continue.

Sweetie I am so soprry that this is now happening to you as well but don't hold your Breath on them owning up because they are such cowards they hide behind a Computer and just go round down rating People because they do not like something about them I have noticed on of my Friends who is new here and a lovely Person has been down rated right to a 6 it really makes me mad I hope we can get you back up to a blue one and I do wish the Site would do something about this as it is getting beyond the Joke They need to have a system where People can not just go and do this

I think there is a troll on here out to destroy people's star ratings just for the fun of it. After you wrote the last discussion I wrote admin and said that I thought the negative response was being abused and that they should like into it. I think you need to write them too, because it really is not fair.

I'll never understand that kind of nonsense Kb seriously...in general..but you DON'T get into beefs with ppl etc so why someone would neg rate you is beyond me other than the trolls needing someone new to pick on

for some reason, known only to mylot, the star ratings drop sometimes they fix it and some times they claim its a "correction" like those so called market "corrections" when the stocks drop go figure

I totally agree and you know what I can tell you just which ones have rated me negative, but they don't the guts to come back and tell you why they think you wrong, or what offended them. I dont' know where you rate a person never looked at it to see. I was getting best awards and all of a sudden it started to drop. If I think you wrong going to say so, if you dont' like it oh well. i always said if you don't want to hear an opinion other that yours dont' ask the question. I think some just give neg, on most it keeps them ahead.

I don't understand why you care about the star rating in the first place. I still don't know what purpose it serves, and I'm not likely to check. I'm not here to please people, I'm here to interact with other humans. And I'm sure that every now and again I step on somebody's toes. I might even offend people, albeit not intentionally, but I never insult. But there are many fundamentalists and dogmatists in this world and in myLot, and they like to 'punish' people with a different view. And the owners of this site have for some reason decided to hand them a whip. So what? They probbly get a kick out of giving you a bad rating, kind of 'Well, I showed her!' I wouldn't care about this kind of small-mindedness. As far as controversial topics are concerned, that's where you find me (as well as in normal topics, of course.) Cheer up, it's supposed to be fun!
