I am originally from Louisiana and so I really miss the food there. I really miss crawfish. Crawfish season is right now and my family has been going to crawfish boils. I'm so jealous. I also miss homemade jambalaya and seafood.

Hi there phoenix! What's crawfish? Oh, it's really hard to live far away from home and the food is one of the things that to be missed the most for sure. Thank you very much for your response.

A crawfish is a crustacean that looks sort of like a small lobster. You can do an internet search and see a picture of a crawfih. You boil them in hot spices and they turn red when they are boiled. Alive, they are like a brownish color. You break off the tails after they are cooked and peel the tail scales off of the meat like a shrimp. It is sooooo good. Very yummy. You can make a lot of dishes with the tails like crawfish etouffee, which is crawfish in a red cajun sauce served over rice. Crawfish bisque can be made by using crawfish heads to make a sauce. The juice in the heads adds extra seasoning and flavor to the bisque. This is also served over rice, which is used in most cajun food rather than pasta.

I did look it up and it looks like a lobster, a smaller one. I don't think I have tried that yet and the dishes you mentioned sounds really delicious.

I like Jollibee's burger steak too. My latest favorite is their Cheesy Chili COn Carne Burger which they just stop selling recently. My son loves ordering super meal, with chicken, corn and carot side dish, brownies, spaghetti and rice.

Hi there ruthinian! Wow! That's all Filipino and all deliscious too! I love sinigang na baboy too. Although I am not eating pork anymore, it never fail to make my mouth water. I really love it when it's super sour. I am not really into foods with coconut milk though. My son loves Jollibee's chicken joy. Manggang hilaw and bagoong is really deliscious. My american uncle hates the smell of bagoong but I don't care, lol. Thank you very much for your response. Now I'm hungry, lol.

I see. That's cool. Sometimes, when it's too spicy, you can't even appreciate the real goodness of its taste. God bless and have a nice day!

My mom used to make a tuna hotdish that really was delicious...and cram puffs. She passed away a few years ago and I do miss her and her cooking!

Hi there jillhill! I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I like tuna too. But what's hotdish? Is it literally a hot dish? Thank you very much for your response.

It's a one dish meal....tuna with noodles and mushroom soup all mixed together into one dish then baked...so you make it...bake it and serve it in one dish!

Hi there Jade! I guess kare-kare is the Ultimate Filipino dish because it's really hard to prepare and cook but definitely worth it. Thank you very much for your response.

I also miss Kare-Kare! Yummy! And Lemon Buttered Prawns. The best Kare-Kare that I've tasted so far was from Alex III's. But ESL's employees cafeteria makes good one also. The Lemon Buttered Prawns are like available in Dampa, or anywhere else. LOL. :)

Hi there rhane! Honey lemon chicken is really deliscious. It's been so long since I had some but we used to have it at least once a week when we were living in Manila. Thank you very much for your response.
