My Sibe, Kayla, is so weird when it's dinner time. She will only eat dinner in the living room and only if I am in the room. I put the bowl down and at first she ignores it, then she will get up, walk around the bowl and push it with her nose. Sometimes she ends up pushing it all over the room before she will start eating it. Even when she starts, she will take a piece of food and put it on the floor, then she'll do some more dances around the bowl and finally dig in. she never really digs in though, it's a process of licking and biting her food, selecting and savoring each morsel. It's hilarious. I wonder why she eats like that. Does anyone else have a Sibe that eats like that?

I don't have a Siberian Husky but I had a boyfriend whose mom had one and I absolutely love them and almost feel a close connection to them. This husky I knew was SO intelligent and almost had a way of talking with her eyes and would even try yelping things as if she was talking, it was so neat! She did have peculiar habits, funny ones too like the one you described but I cannot remember one in particular but just that this dog was very 'gifted' compared to their other two dogs, one a mix and the other an American Eskimo. I would love to have a Siberian of my own but the only issue I have is the shedding of their coat even though I know its normal I still would not like to clean up so much hair and would have to have a room designated only for my dog if they came in the house.

You are so right about the hair....mine sheds enough to make a small dog dailey. I hate it, but am used to it now. Only problem it gets in to the computer and dvd player, really any thing electrical and I have to spray air in them regularly or they stop working!

Noo... mine isn't like that with his dog food.. but he does eat off a fork like a human would! I will hold something on a fork out to him and he will very carefully and cleanly take it off and eat it! They are so funny :)

That is so funny. I have a Pomeranian and he will not eat his dog food for nothing unless we hand feed it to him. He will not eat in the kitchen either. I guess because the floor is slick. He always wants to eat what we are eating also. My dog also sniffs the food out, takes it, then drops it on the floor also before going back to eat it. I think the dogs are just spoiled LOL.
