$5.00 to rent a stroller?!?

It is and awful lot for such a simple thing as a cart. Really, I think the mall itself should just pony up for the carts just to encourage people to come to the mall with their kids. After all, kids at the mall will ask for things they see and like. The mall would come out ahead, I think.

When my daughter was young enough we used an umbrella stroller. But at the mall where we spend some time certain shops have carts. Bed Bath and Beyond, Marshalls etc. People use those to save on a fiver.

It seems like a lot yes. I know our mall is $5. then when you return it you get $1 back. Personally I bring my own stroller for 3 reasons. One because its more confortable for my daughter and two because I don't like using some thing that other kids have used. I'm very picky about using others things because of germs. I wouldn't say I'm a germaphobic but close when it comes to my daughter. She is 16 moths and has only been sick once. 3. Its free. I wouldn't pay the $5 for a stroller in less I absoutly had to. I would rather go get an unbrella stroller for 10 and it be MINE. Just one persons opinion.

I've never rented one at a mall but I did at some amusement parks and it was $5 for it back ten years ago. I believe they are up to $10 now. It's not cheap that's for sure. Still unless you bring your own what choice do you have? I'm sure they are counting on that as well. They know they have you over a barrel and that if you want it you'll pay for it.

That does seem like alot. I have never heard of a mall charging to rent a stroller the malls around here have strollers for free. When we go on vaction the mall there has little cars the kids sit in that you can push and they are free too. I think I would bring my own stroller over paying $5 to rent one.
