Ooops! I did it again...................or did you?

The current ongoing issues in points reduces and ratings dropped in mylot are puzzling many of us. Some of us felt it is not fair and some even thinking of quiting. My points and rating gone overnight and I am still trying to figure out what I have done wrong. As far as I can remember, I didn't violates any of mylot guidelines. So, the only reason I can think of is someone out there is having fun rating me negatively. I thought may be the culprit are amongst my friends here simply because they get new discussion's notifications. But then I remember, my points and ratings went down when my discussions were in mylot digest and also were in the 'hot topics' and 'top discussions', so there must be someone who is not in my friends' list. But I don't care much anymore. I couldn't stop them anyway. So, what comes into your mind when your points and rating dropped?

I wouldn't worry so much. MyLot swears your earnings are not greatly affected by your reputation points. Some people on here are just nasty and childish and down-rate others for no good reason. MyLot says it has different precaustions to help with this issue. Check out the FAQs for more info, but I don't think you should leave because of the few childish people that try to drag others down -- for the most part, this is a nice and fair community, in my opinion.

I am not worry. I feel little irritated as this happens to me before. I said to myself that I will not care much but when my rating goes down quite drastically, I started to feel the pinch. I wont leave that for sure. I agree too that mylot is a nice and fair community.

Yes my points are also droping since yesterday. But i think it is because of mylot is deleting some discussions those are violating their terms. And i posted in these discussions therefore i am losing some points. Bt i am not worried about it. Because it is part of mylot.
I just keep posting and enjoy my money.

Points and ratings go up and down like a yoyo on here hun, and I find it isn't really worth worrying about too much.

I know that. I have experienced it before. But now is a bit different. Things has gone too far. Imagine the rating goes down drastically and it happens in one day. This is new to me. I tried to ignore it but sometimes when I hover over my star rating and found out that it has again dropped, it really irritated me, especially not knowing what actually is going on.

I can understand how it feels to see your rating decrease. i was also surpriced and also anoyed to see that my rating redued from 83 to 76 today morning. I dont know how it has happened or who has done this. i have never rated anyone negatively till now and still my rating has been reduced. anyway i will not think much about it as i had started with a rating of 58 and had reached 83. i will make it to 85 soon. I have rated you also positevely.

My earning has stuck to a figure since the other day! This is incredible and I can't figure out why despite of my participations to discussions. Last night I had some lengthy discussions yet no movement in my earning. What's goin' on? Is this a joke or something? This can't be happening!

You know what people, after posting this above comment of mine I noticed my earning moved by 20.90 cents! This is a joke hahaha.....!

i would be frustrated if that happens on me. mylot should have a list of people who rates you negatively and positively so that you may know who's the culprit

I have written to mylot admin about this. I asked them to check their log to see who have rated me negative, whether it was well deserved. And as usual, no response yet from admin. I hope they can solve this problem asap so that it will lighten up a bit here.

Your basically replying to post or making posts that aren't acceptable to mylot.. Those are the kind to really watch.. Alot of people make post and add referral links to them and that is a no no.. I wouldn't worry much about the post or money here. Just have fun with the site.. I know I do I can careless if my rating went all the way down to a 1 as long as I am having fun here and do what I am suppose to do... That's what it's all about, it's not about points and how much you can make in one day! I hope this helps!

Losing points and ratings if it was for genuine reason is ok. I can accept it. But the thing is it keeps on going down and yesterday I lost two points but my rating increased by 1. Today, I lost 4 ratings points. It is really puzzling. I know I said it didn't bother me but I keep on hovering over the star rating. Never mind, I will keep on posting here. Someone out there is trying to mess with me.

i think you are not only one. i am also facing the same thing. look i have lost my reputation abit. i am down at most of the interest ratings. i felt very bad when it happened.i thought that som amy have rated me negative. but when i hear many have this problem, then i think is it the case that all of us are rated simultaneously negative?
may be something that mylot did.

I haven't been here much in the last week or two - I've never actually seen the myLot Digest so not sure what it's about. I think on sites like this you will always have people who are in it to spoil things for others and I wouldn't worry about it too much, it shouldn't spoil your general enjoyment of the site. Our star ratings can go up and down and hopefully we are not judged by our peers on the colour of our star or its number. Enjoy the site, carry on writing quality discussions as you do and let those few that try to spoil it do their own thing, they'll get bored and move onto others soon enough. Love the new avatar hun. x

oh ellie i told you it was those gremlins again.we must start this gremlin patrol for sure.i actually had my first post deleted and i could see no reason why it was deleted,as i felt i did not violate any mylot guidelines,so i think your right,there are probably a few little nasty people out there.we just have to plod on and have a laugh and a good time and not worry about these horrid little people.cheers sue

I'm new to Mylot and to be fair I'm a little confused about how it works anyway. What are the rates like (of pay that is) ? How much do you get for how many comments? And how much of a difference does it makes if you start the discussion or just comment on another? I'm a little confused as to how anyone actually makes money on here. Any help would be great :)
