Are you happy with you work?

Everyday I wake up is like that. Don't get me wrong, I love working and I love my career choice as a PC Technician but the management team at my current job (to put it bluntly) sucks. Even when we do things correctly, we do it wrong. Currently I am working at an internet helpdesk and according to management we should be able to complete a phone call and get our notes into the system within 15 minutes. In reality however, everyone who has ever spoken to a technician over the phone, knows that complications happen and phone calls can last literally HOURS long. And that doesn't mention the time to get our notes in either. Again, its not that I HATE my job, but its more like we all feel that we could switch shoes with management for a day so they know exactly what goes on here...

Hey dasgupta, I think you are right in explaining in your position. I am also an Office goer and I feel bore some time as same work , same place and same face. I think now keeping in view the present scenario Indian industry must adopt the concept of multi face job i.e. all men all job for survival of the industry. Going office and return back to home comes under our daily fixed routine. Some timews I thought I must go on long leave but from the commencement of leave within two to three days I feel so puzzled . I return back to my office b y cutting down my leave period. I think at the time of retirement we will have to face a problem mentally or physically as after retirement from the service you will not be allowed to go to your work place and I am fearing for that situation it is horrible . For that reason service holder after retirement either become half mad or die . pkc3000

The nature of my work requires me to travel around the country most of the time and I enjoy it because I get to see a lot of places and meet new friends. But sometimes it's phsysically and mentally exhausting because I have to submit a report after my travel. I guess it's a matter of motivation. If you're not happy with your work then you should go and find another that will make you happy and excited to get up in the morning.

I would say that it comes and goes. There was a time where I despised going to work. I didn't like any of my coworkers, I couldn't stand working with the public, and I didn't feel appreciated at all. But, now, I like working a lot more. However, I still have those days that I wish I could quit, mostly when I have a patron that constantly gives me a hard time or when they are doing budget cuts and my position is being threatened to be done away with. Then, I don't want to go to work.
