Hi metal_monkee! I am from the Philippines too and I do agree that prices of almost everything here in our country is going up. I heard that it won't be long, the minimum fare of 7.50 will go up again. Sad, isn't it? Take care and have a nice day!

Hi metal_monkee! I have heard it from the jeepney drivers that they are planning to hold a strike before the opening of school year for an increase in fare. That is what jeepney drivers here from Angeles City have been talking about and they have already told the proper authorities so they will be informed and they can do something about it before they proceed to a nationwide strike. I guess, maybe the money they earned is not enough anymore since everything especially the gasoline they are using has gone up already. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

In my area, it cost one dollar and fifty cents for adult riders on the bus! It may cost another twenty-five cents to obtain a transfer so you can get on another connecting bus! The train is a minimum price of one dollar and sixty cents, for every ten miles or so! There are discounts for senior citizens and disabled people!

It has gone up in the last few years, as the government has not been funding public transportation as well as they are supposed to!
