For some reason i have now started to have some problems with pages not able to operate as they were before my kids got on my computer and i think that they may have erased some things that my system needed to run properly. now on many sites i get this page can not be displayed, address not valid, internet explorer can not find site requested. any how i went to try to down load foxfire because i was told that it was better then internet explorer as a web browser and that it did not have as many problems. i tried more then one time to download the foxfire program. needless to say i am at dismay because i am unable to download the program, aftrer i click on the download icon and it starts to download after the file transfer it is showing file is corupt and can not be exicuted. i am hopeing that someone will read this and be able to help me fix my problem. i do not wish to erase my hard drive because i have many documents on it that are to big to download to cd disk to save. it would be alot of work lost for good. but if this becomes my only option i guess i will be filling more then one 5 subject notebook front and back pages to not loose the work. if anyone can help me and not loose all my data i would so much be in apreciation.

Every few years my computer goes bonkers. When that happens, I simply re-load it. That means re-installing Windows (or whatever you have) and you lose all your files so be sure to make copies! It's a good idea to make a back-up cd of all your important stuff at least once a month, anyway. I think you'll probably have to re-load. I use Firefox and love it. When I use Explorer, I keep getting messages telling me there's a page error and do I want to debug? I've been told never to say yes on the debugging! Firefox never does that. Or maybe you should download Spybot, it'll root out and kill any spyware your kids may have accidentally downloaded. Do you have anti-virus? AVG (at lavasoft dot com) is free and does a wonderful job. Good luck! Kids do a great job of messing up computers!
