What are your feelings on plastic surgery?

Are you the type of person who is totally against it? No matter what the reason. Are you the type of person who thinks it's okay if your fixing something from a tragic accident? But don't think you should do it for vain reasons. Or are you totally okay with it, for what ever the reason maybe? And if you are what would you have done? I myself am okay with it. To each his own. There are a few things that I would like to have done, but never will because I am terrifed of being put to sleep.(Enough though I have been put to sleep 3 times and come out of it, I'm still terrifed that one of these times I won't.) But if I ever got over my fear I would have my breasts lifted(like most women who have had children) and I'd have my nose done. It's been broken 3 times so it is very crooked.

Not only am I okay with it, I have a plan already laid out for when aging starts to get the best of me - LOL! You know you should only have any part done once (ever see those women with too many face lifts - shudder). So - lets see - eye tuck somewhere between 45 & 50 (when needed), neck lift (I know sounds crazy but it takes years off) around 55 or so and face lift around 60. Okay, may never happen but a girl can dream she has the ability to look young her whole life can't she???

The neck lift doesn't sound crazy at all, that something I will more than likely need done in my old age to. The women in my family get this loose skin under there chins as they get older. It looks like a double chin even thought they're not over weight at all. Almost like a turkey, lol!!

I'm totally ok with it. In fact, I just had a tummy tuck and lipo 2 weeks ago. I know there is a risk when being put to sleep, but life is full of risks. I'm still swollen so can't totally see the results yet -- especially from the the lipo, but my stomach is aready flat! I do it agaiin in a heartbeat. In fact I'm already thinking about getting my butt lipo'd.

If a person is an adult and willing to go through the pain and discomfort, I'm fine with it. I don't think it's anyone else's business. But I think that people would be better off to consider nonsurgical methods first, like botox, and less invasive things like laser surgery.

when it comes to plastic surgeries to fix our face, I think if you are born like that you should not try to be someone else... I would personally wait to get married then maybe consider a surgery to look nicer. But I guess if you have had an accident that has deformed you then a plastic surgery is just what you need

Just so you girls know... If you are looking for a guy is interested in you and not just getting you into bed, then you chest size does not really matter... Even though men do find the nice ones more attractive but even small ones can be attractive... As long as you are not too concered about them he won't be either...

Hallo Rachel, One thing many people have to know is that a good reason justifies anything that many times is seen as wrong. Therefore, when it comes to plastic surgery, anyone is right to do it if he or she is doing it for the right reasons... Nice time!

I think some plastic surgery is ok if you want it done, but becoming vain about it and constantly having surgery to fix things that you never see as perfect is a real issue. I'm contemplating having a minor inpatient surgery to fix some scarring issues that I have. The scars however are uncomfortable and very unsightly. They are on my chest, so it's not a place I show off or anything but they're annoying, and painful. So if I could get them removed, I would to save myself some trouble, but other than that, I wouldn't tackle much more than that.

Actually im not against plastic surgery. Its actually has good effect since you will have better physical appearance. Anyway, its negative or positive depends on the patient.

I'm against plastic surgery, unless it's to fix a life-threatening condition. I just think we should all learn how to appreciate and accept what we were given and plastic surgery, to me, is an act of denial (I hope I didn't put it too hard). I think life is still fair however we look. One person may have the looks, but it doesn't mean she is happy. I'm a hard fan of that beauty-is-in-the-inside saying. I know many people that are esthetically challenged, but have amazing brains and personality. They have a lot of confidence, a lot friends, and still manage to be very attractive.

Im like yourself in that respect i have a list of things i would love to have done but dont think i would dare going under for a start and have the pain, all for a reason that is only cosmetic and would not affect my life if i didnt have it done. I have nothing against people having cosmetic surgery and if they want to do it then good for them, but even if i had the cash i dont think i would have the nerve

Well, for me, plastic surgery is fine as long as they person really needs it especially if you got into an accident and the plastic surgery is the only thing that they have to do in order to give you your normal life back. For the others that they think they need to change or to undergo plastic surgery because they are not happy with their face or body then still, it will be up to them but I don't think you should OVERDO it.. :)

If you have been a victim of an accident or were born with some form of disfigurement then I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to look "normal." However, if you don't really need it and if it's not going to significantly change your outlook on life, then it is certainly not worth the risk, not to mention the money. If everyone who got a cosmetic plastic surgery used that money for something good (charity, college savings, etc.) that would be so much more worth it. I personally could never put myself through any type of surgery I didn't need, but there is nothing wrong with people who do. I just don't think they need to.

I don't have anything against it. However I don't ever see myself getting any done to myself. I believe that I am perfect just the way I am. I sit an wonder sometimes why can't females find guys that like their bodies just the way that they weren't built from the beginning. I mean I understand if you were in a tragic accident and your scared that you may not find someone because of what has happened to you. But if there isn't really anything wrong you should leave your body be. But its just my opinion. I won't dislike a person for changing themselves, I just wouldn't do it to myself. And another thing it costs so much, I wouldn't dream of spending my money on that when I need so many other things in life.
