I had a great once-in-a-lifetime business opportunity and I couldn't say no. I resigned today and I feel really awful, because I am leaving from a good job as a secretary which I was doing only for the money. As you know I am a Multimedia Designer, and I was seeking to find an appropriate position in an Advertising or Multimedia Agency, and now this chance has finally arrived! I couldn't refuse and I am really thrilled, but in the office I had a few sad faces looking at me, and not knowing what to say..I am a bit confused with my feelings and I just wanted to share my thoughts..

I know it is sad to leave a job, I have been there. It can be tough. When I left my last job I was there over 2 years and was really close to a few people. I have been at my current job almost 2 years and will be leaving end of may. I am glad you got a good Multimedia Designer job. Both my husband and I do work like that as well, and it is soo tough finding a decent job in that field around here. I have been doing admin work and make more money doing that.

Wow congratulations! I think it's wonderful that you're following your heart and going for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I'm a great believer in going for them when you're able to, so well done. And, for those more negative feelings, just remind yourself that if it doesn't work out the way you hope, which I'm sure won't happen, then you can always get a job as a secretary again. Remember, nothing is ever permenent. Good luck!

I'm glad to hear the good news. I would be nervous if I were you, as it's always hard to know if you've made the best choice leaving a job that you were secure in to one you don't know that well. But, it will probably turn out really good. And, you will make new friends and business contacts this way, too. I'm glad to hear that you are following your dream.
