I was wondering how many of you give your animals birthday parties? My fur baby is turning two on Sunday and I'm going to throw her a party. The only problem is that we have no cat friends! So its more of a party for mom. Does anyone have any ideas to help make this a more special day for her?

I think you need to make her a "cat cake" Maybe make a salmon patty for her? I think she might get too excited having cat friends over.. my cats get an all about them day and whatever they want, they get spoiled.. just extra love and play time, and Miss Meeca always gets a helium ballon on long strings to chase through the house and she loves it!!

Every day is her day too. LOL I was thinking about making her a cat cake but I wasnt sure what to use. A salmon patty might be good. I'm not ever sure what people food she'll eat though. I'll do some searching.

Throw her a party! My aunt does this for her dogs every year. She invites all humans though, but the pups have a blast!

We could have a virtual party for her and invite all the cat owners on myLot! What is your fur baby's favorite dish? We could all buy a can of it and our fur baby's could all enjoy it at the same time on Sunday afternoon while the owners sing "Happy Birthday" to your little one.

My cats don't get treats very often for this reason. I remember when each cat was born and throw a small birthday party for them. I get some canned salmon, make sure all the bones are out and fashion it into small patties for each of my cats. Tuna in water works well too or getting a can of canned cat food. I don't sing happy birthday, but do say happy birthday to the birthday kitty when I place the salmon patty in front of it.

Oh yay! Applause to you! I am so terrible. I haven't had a birthday party for my darlings at all. Only had birthday parties for the first few years of my first cat ever, which was at least 20 years ago, when adopted. My cats are still really family to me, and I love them so much. But also harder as all adopted, without any official birthdays, and I am not nice enough to throw parties. But for Chippy, my first darling, we didn't have other cat friends, and I think it would have likely gotten quite nasty in the house then, if we invited others over (but who knows; he was pretty friendly with others of all creatures, except birds which he LOVED- not in the good way, of course). ;o) But I remember one of his first birthday parties, we hung up ribbons all from the ceiling, for him to play with. We got some treats and extra toys. I actually still have little pieces of scotch tape on my ceiling from way back then, believe it or not! I remember, as a child, I invited a friend over to celebrate his birthday also. It was fun. The main party was in my room. Other ideas maybe are to give nice, long comb sessions (if you cat loves to be combed). Play nice pretty music in the background lots. Play with a lot! Also, I saw this adorable thing on YouTube once that has helium balloons in the house, with ribbons or string hanging at the end to entice the cats. They went crazy, chasing and having fun with it. I'll have to try that some time. Wishing your kitty (and you of course), a wonderful celebration! Take pictures!!

If you can afford to offer your cat a party, go ahead. If you are saving money, you may not. Cats doesn't have feelings and don't understand what parties are.
