What Is It That Makes You A Mylot Freak?

I have been a member of Mylot now for sixteen months. When I look back on the number of friends I've made... very special friends at that, from all walks of life... and the number of discussions I've posted, I'm amazed! Friends have come and friends have gone; some have even gone and returned, but I go on, relentlessly, a Mylot Freak of the first degree, making more friends and posting more discussions, whilst giving a little help to others on the way.
I would say that Mylot is unique. Ok, there are plenty more forums and posting sites out there, but none of them seems to quite cut it with me. Mylot has always had the edge! I like that you get your own profile, to do with more or less what you please. Friends can leave you lovely comments which brighten your day, and you can always look back on your activities to find an old friend or their discussion. We can choose our own interests and post our discussions within them, or wherever we like basically, whereas most other sites either list the categories you are allowed to discuss, or give you a blog, which people can visit and comment on. So, there again, Mylot is one of a kind. I have yet to find another like it.

Yep. You said it all and just right Darkwing.
I think what keeps me a mylot Freak is the 'instant' interaction. No matter what time of night or day you come on here, there is always someone that will respond to a comment you make within minutes. Sometimes you have to search far afield to make the connection (especially on slow nights), but the magic is there. There are always active users and someone to 'talk' to. It is very hard to get lonely here and I think that's why a lot of people are here - because they are lonely in their real lives, and being here is like being surrounded by people who are so glad to see you, talk to you, that your lonliness goes away while you're here.
No other site on the net can do that, that I've found.
So - yes please, me a happy mylot freak, now let's dance! LOL

Yes, I agree, there is a certain magick here... always somebody active, and it's difficult to get lonely. There's great community spirit and support here. Pogo is a good site for lonely peeps. You can chat while you play.

hello,
i have been here for 34 days total (actively) a friend of mine shared this with me coz i told her i am trying to figure out a way to help my husband paying bills and mylot comes in, i realized after my first day here that i cannot really make something decent so i gave up and then one boring afternoon i just browse back again and the rest is history 
i love to be here coz i can share my thoughts, though some will oppose me and not like me after that, but who cares, i'd rather be real than be someone i am not even if this is just a net.
all in all, i am staying here till they say i cannot be then there is nothing i can do about that, i hope not though coz i enjoy every moment i am here.

If you have some friends you know would stay active here, then bring them in as referrals. They will increase your earnings whilst they earn themselves.
I'm glad you came back here my friend... I really think it's the best place to be as far as learning and making good friends goes.

You're more than welcome my friend. I think at some point you might be able to find some friends who will be interested in Mylot. You could just tell them you know this really fun site, where you can chat with and help others out, and earn money at the same time. Ask them if they'd like to join you in here, by signing up. After all... it costs nothing, and the earnings are better than a lot of the other free sites. xx

i wish i can entice them that easy, the truth is i dont have much friend who dont have a job on their own so no matter how hard i tried they are still not here, oh well!
i tell posters here that one thing to help them increase their earnings is through referrals coz i see them playing a huge part here, i may not have luck on it but at least i know someone does

I have also been here 16 months and like you made a lot of special Friends here and met some yes I enjoy being here but as you know I also belong to another Site that I enjoy

I have to hold my hand up and admit that I am a MyLot Freak
I joined to find some kind of social interaction and boy did I find it here. There are many wonderful people on this site, all posting great discussions and lovely responses. Having been here over a year now I can honestly say that I don't like to miss a day now, and log in as soon as I can every day.

It's true, the friendship and interaction rating on this site, is very high! There's lots of knowledge and wisdom out there, that is offered willingly by just about every member in the Mylot Community, and that is unrivaled outside the site. I hate to miss a day in here too. As I said previously, when I'm unable for some reason, to get into the site, I feel as though I haven't seen the start of another day, and I seem to b in limbo, wondering what I'm missing in here!

I too am aMyLot freak I love the discussions,the friends i have made on here and some very special to me including you-I haven't found a site like this and really don't want to-so far I haven't had any prob;ems with MyLot and am sure that if there were they would let you know.

I keep meeting more and more people who know where I'm coming from and that means a lot to me. I'm certainly glad I found you my friend because living so close to each other, we can help each other, and teach each other, on our journey through this life.

I think I am a mylot freak as I keep on going after I was whacked from a ten to a six because I like mylotting and I have made a number of friends,wont mention enemies. and I intend to work to get back my reputation. mylot has finally answered my emails and they promised me to lookinto the matter. so I feel a lot better. I enjoy responding to interesting discussions and the feeling of friendship that I have met here and I will not quit now. I love the way this is set up and the freedom we are given. I have only been here for seven or so weeks and have gained over three thousand points as I have all the time in the world as I am retired and needed something worthwhile to do.I have also found out that I am not a quitter so if someone has tried to push me out they have failed badly as they do not know me at all.today I feel young at heart and that makes me feel younger physically as well.

It happens from time to time, usually in waves, until the petty-minded get found out, and ousted from the site, or simply tire from their foolish attacks. It is good, however, to see you standing up to this and letting it go over your head, undeterred.

I found myLot when I was looking for work at home opportunities. I learned right away that it was not going to make me vast sums of money, but I was on a rather downer, and meeting friends, learning new things, and even being able to help others lifted my spirits. I have been sad about the bickering and when people are not helpful, and on occasion I have lost money or posts, but I figure it goes with the territory. Yes, I am a myLot freak. I have been here for about seventeen months. I love myLot
and I agree that there is not another site that is quite like it, and I am spoiled by it. Maybe I will have to go customize my profile again, sometime when there is more time. I think there are people on here who listen, and it is a good thing to do.

Yes, the bickering gets me down a bit, but when I stop and think about it, there's far more love and caring than there is bickering, so it's best to keep one's mouth shut, ignore it, and get on with the matter in hand. They're not worth the heartache, my friend.
I tried to change my music video on my profile today. The old one was still working fine, but when I put the new one in, it wouldn't show, or play. So, I don't know what went wrong there.
Yes, there are people on here who listen... and they don't think you're being foolish, or paranoid. I love the ambiance here.

I keep coming back for friends like you love to read posts and respond to them I try another one but wont let me in after sign up so I never go there and this is the only one I will keep I have to come every day and if I cant it makes me sad and then I have to scamble to catch up yup I a mylot freak also lol hugs

I can see by your score that you definitely spend quite a bit of time at MyLot.
I signed up quite a while ago and for a while I was posting and making comments every single day. It is cool to be able to get unique opinions from other people p topics that are of interest to me and also to share my opinions with others.
I don't visit MyLot as much as I used to but I do drop by from time to time to see what is going on around here. I received my first payment a couple months ago which was a nice little bonus. Like a lot of people here I am not here for the money but more for the fun, although I did try the recruiting thing at first.

I am a mylot freak myself then. I have been in mylot since the end of 2006. I think it is really neat in here myself. To met different people from all over the world and to also start your own discussions as well as respong to them.

i am a totally mylot freak for sure!! i am here every day, i am always looking for my wonderful friends post. i love everything about mylot. i tried to go to other sites like this and they just don't compare to mylot, so i most of the time drop them. mylot is just easy to work with and you are right, having your own profile page rocks

I've been here a little over a year myself, and it was by accident too that I found this place, or...was it?? Hehehe. I'm definitely a MyLot freak and I know I spend way too much time here when truth be told I could spend more time on my writing, or photography projects...but what can I say?? love it here--I love the people here, my friends and interacting with people from literally all over the world.

Hello Darkwing,I am a new member of myLot. I found this website because of another site that told me all about it. So far it has been a great experience. I love all the features that the site has to offer and all the different things that you can do. I have sensed that alot of users on myLot really have come to enjoy this site. Hiya pal , I love My Lot too but never seem to have enough time to get here nowadays , I am always popping in and out though ( when I have an internet connection lol ) just connected again after 2 weeks off line , seems it was a windows setting was wrong , But my smart son managed to fix it , So many lovely people on this site too xx

I am a relative newbie having only been here just over a month but loving every single minute of it. I don't know if I could be considered a 'freak' just yet - does that depend on how long you have been a member and/or how long you do it every day? I think I will probably become one as my BF is getting rather frustrated with the amount of time that I am on this computer.
Yes, I think this is one of the best forums I have seen. I have joined others but haven't continued with them. I haven't found them as 'user friendly' as myLot. I also really like the people here and as you say that you can choose your own interests etc.
I think it is easy to make friends within this community and on the whole I beleive most people are sincere and that what they type/say is what they think which is wonderful to see, honesty in these sort of forums isn't always the top of everyone's list. Thanks for sharing this with us Darkwing.

Your love of the site and your friendship shows through, as you ardently support your Mylot friends, or me at least, and you post quality discussions and responses. I don't think I can call you a newbie any more, my friend... you're hooked!!! By the way, why don't you get your b/f to sign up on your referral? Oh darn, I've been caught out. I thought I had escaped detection! Yes, I believe I'm a myLot Freak too. Just can't keep off it.
Can you imagine this household if I got him on this, we would be fighting for this one and only computer to be on it, no, no I think I will leave him to do his jobs around the house, read the books, soak up the sun and sit in or by the pool. Just leave me the computer!!! It is just such a shame no one referred me they would be raking it in by now!
