What do you see when you open the door of your home and go outside?

When I open my door and go outside I am standing on a porch. If I look around me, I see potted plants that need watering, statues of frogs, windchimes moving back and forth in the wind, trees and bushes, a path leading to the mailboxes, a courtyard, the apartments lining the sidewalk and facing my own apartment, and the muted tones of the sunset that are seen when a person looks East. What do you see when you open your door?

I agree with you. Whenever I go outside, I see traffic on the main part of the city I live in. There are major stuff that need to be done, like rewatering the plants. I do not need to live in a place where there is always noise. I would much rather live in the countryside. So whenever I open my door to go outside. I go on the porch at first to see what needs to be done. Then I go out onto the grass to see if it is all cleaned. I see forests and hills, of course.

You have three trees of your own. That's neat! It is nice to see roses blooming... hoping that you take time to look at them closely and to smell them too. Ah so you have bunnies, foxes and owls... The fox is an animal that is important in my family as my mother's last name was Fox and she collected owls. I have one bunny in my bedroom and one displayed in my dining room area. They are so sweet!

When I open my door and walk outside there is a small two step stair to go down. When I get down I look to my left and I see the library. I also turn my head to the left and see my bushes that need trimming. Oh no maybe I shouldn't have turned my head. lol. When I look across the street I see a big parking lot and the building on it is the civic center. Next and behind that is the firehouse. I can watch the firemen train just by stepping out my front door. Now that I have noticed the bushes needing trimming I guess I will need to hop to it. lol. If we have more nice days I will be able to get them trimmed up.

So you are near a library, a police station and the civic center, talk about close to everything. Sorry about those bushes grins... If you want to tell yourself something to make yourself feel better about them, tell your self that you are "letting them for now, revert back to nature" as it is true that in nature things remain untrimmed. Wishing you some nice days to enjoy and to trim if you choose.

Wondering what kind of boat that your husband bought and which now is the focus of your attention... How do you like the boat? I am hoping that he has taken you out on it. I am glad that there are trees and grass, etc. to see too. I know of one woman who threatened to plant flowers in her husband's boat... I have seen a row boat with flowers planted in it so I do not think that it was an idle threat. It might however be a very expensive planter.lol

it's a pretty good size boat and no, i haven't gotten to go out in it yet because he's in Iraq so it would be kind of hard to do that yet. LOL! A planter would be a good idea right about now, but then again it would cost way to much money to fill that thing up. LOL! thanks for responding back and God bless

When I walk out my door I step on to the car port. I see my car, the swing set in the yard, basketball hoop, soccer balls in the yard, an old stump, my neighbors house with a big beautiful tree across the street. to my left I see another neighbor with the perfect yard across the other street. Yes I live on a corner lot. Oh and the mailbox at the end of my drive way. thats about it, I think.

atleast he relieved his stress out on the stump. lol. thank you, it is a blessing to have the children playing. Nothing like it. Now is the time to cherish it while they are still young.

That old stump attracted my attention right away... remembering a man I met who whenever he was stressed out or angry would get an axe and attack the old stump in his yard. He was sad to see that stump go when he finally succeeded in getting rid of it. It sounds like you are lucky enough to have children living at your house... There is a bit of tree and lawn envy but you have the better portion as you have playing children to cherish.
