Some of you already read about all of the garbage he's been having to deal with because of the two newest office idiots, and he had been threatening last week to up and quit on them real soon. Well, they had a meeting last week which covered several different agendas, and when the time came hubby actually STOOD up and told the newest guy that the big boss had no problem with his time or his work, and that the big boss was the one that he was going to answer to. He also told everyone that if they wanted him early to just say so instead of waffling back and forth on what they wanted. Otherwise he was just going to keep doing his job the same way as he has been for the last 20 years. And no one argued with him at all, nor has anyone given him any grief over it. The one good office person that works there, which happens to also be a good friend of mine, had gone to the big boss last week after I had told her about hubby wanting to quit. She told him what I had said, and though I'm not certain, I really think the big boss came down hard on the other two in the office, because they seemed to have changed their attitudes pretty darned quickly. Hubby is still planning on taking the test for the US Postal Service to see if he can get on there, but for now he is staying where he is. I'm so glad it's all worked out. Thank you all for being here for me and letting me rant on this last week. You are soooooo very much appreciated and loved. Hugs.........Carryl

I'm glad everything has worked out. I know that I've been having major problems with my co-worker and boss and I'm trying my best to deal with them all. I think I'll write a post about it and you can read it there.

I really can't blame him for wanting to change jobs. But, it is a good thing that the smoke has cleared at his present job. Big huggers to both of you.

Carryl, I am so glad things are finally straightening out for your husband at work. I am happy that your friend was able to help your husband out. I hope that your husband does take the U.S. Postal Sevice test and does well. I have heard many good things about that job field. Hang in there! (((HUGS)))

The moment we have the extra money, he is going to take the test for sure. He also said that if he gets this job, I won't have to worry about going back to work. That's a big relief for me considering that my back is still giving me grief. Thanks so much hon. Big hugs to you.

Oh my friend do I ever know what you're talking about. My husband has been working at the hospital as maintenance man and they have shut the hospital as a hospital and are using it for a nursing home so hubbys hours were cut to half time. Well we can not survive on half time as we are making house payments and so he had to take a different job for less money in the city and now we're paying over six dollars a gallon for gas so we don't think he can keep this job with having an hour drive each way. It's too bad because he loves working at this job Home Hardware., Thank God things worked out for you folks.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA For hubby and you as well, Carryl. If you wouldn't of told your friend what's hubby said, she never would of relayed it to the boss and hubby would of ended up quitting over something that could of been fixed. So happy that his boss had that meeting. It saved a lot of stress with you guys.

This is great news and must be a big relief for you both. It just goes to show that being assertive has it's merits. I had no doubt this would turn out any differently. Good on your hubby.

It really was a big relief. The office idiots are still acting like idiots, but now THEY are the ones that are getting in trouble with the big boss, and I think it's absolutely hilarious!

Hey, hunny... so glad its working out! The interesting thing about new people in a work situation is that they tend to think that everyone is just as inept as they are... they need an education, badly, and I think your hubby took 'em to school! Good for him... things should be a lot smoother now!! HUGS!
