I will sing or hum whenever I am studying. Not the words that I will memorize but the lyrics of any song that I like to sing at that time. I don't know why but it helps me. I do not raise my voice too because for me, it will just pass. Will stay in the brain at all. I prefer to read/study in silence too.

I do find that vocalising helps. I've never actually made a song up to remember something for an exam but i do think that it would be a great idea! I also find that I need to write things down over and over again to remember it, but then I do my exam and forget about it in a day. I guess all people are different, we have our own preferences and different things that work for us. I just find that hearing my own voice say what I'm reading makes it...stick to my brain more effectively!

I can do both but most of the time, I prefer studying in silence or just to murmur a little bit of words in memorizing some lines or sentences.

i have more or less 2 or ways to study. in reading, i usually just read with my eyes so i cant disturb anyone and to really take the writing in. but there are times that i just cant seem to understand what i am reading that i just have to recite it out loud over and over and over again just to understand what im reading. then i usually get it. but if i cant i usually ask my classmates through text or talking to them at school in the morning. the other way also is with my notes. the notes i write in the classroom i usually write it in a yellow pad and then transfer the notes i took that day in my notebook in a neat hand writing. i do this because when i take notes in class my hand writing is totally messy and sometimes i cant understand it anymore because of the crazy writing and sometimes the doodles. lol. so i re-write them and i use different colors for different headings.. it actually helped a lot to get organized also

When I memorize, I look at the words first that I need to memorize. I will read it silently at first and then I'll continue reading it in my mind up to ten times. When I'm done, I'll say it out loud...chanting the words over and over again till i memorize the whole thing...

I am silent, generally I'll just copy notes repeatedly in order to get material into my brain. Usually I don't have a problem keeping the thoughts/facts there after I've copied them down a few times.

A learning style is a way of learning. Your preferred learning style is the the best way in which you learn. I prefer to learn silently, as learning loudly not only disturbs others but also disturbs my concentration. My learning style is my strength. When we choose a class, we should choose one that draws heaviest on your learning styles. The only thing needed is to keep our education firmly inside us.
