This one lady was telling me with the high gas prices, about time she puts gas in her Car that only leaves her $100.00 left, she is only working to put gas in her Car, I told her I hope she has help. She only works 30 hours a week, I feel sorry for people that don't makke enough money, and that half to put Gas in their cars to get to work. It isn't fair. Why do the Pres. do something about this!

If she is making so little and the gas is taking up most of this cost. I think her best bet would be taking public transportaion. It is not like driving your own car but for her to cut down on this cost is to park her car put sit insurance on the car incase of fire, theft etc and to stop getting gas is also a big one. Taking public transportaion will save her alot of money. The president is going to do nothing about it. You have to go directly to the gas and oil companies itself. You can't boycott gas and oil as we all use it everyday. There is such a demand for it. The two biggest companies out there is Esso and Shell. There are emails going around about boycotting buying gas for a day that is not going to do anything. To take a stand let everyone that you can think of to stop buying gas from these two biggest compaines in gas and oil and things will start to change. I'm not saying don't buy gas for a certain day it is going to have to be for a long term thing. If Esso and Shell want to compete with the other gas companies prices will have to come down and we will then see a change in the economy.

that is something. but most people who can't afford gas take the bus or the train. I would try to do whatever i could do to make sure i am not spending money that i could use for my family into a car i don't have to drive. I think We as Human Beings, need to stop complaining and start opening up their minds to coming up with sulotions to todays problems. Please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to put anyone down, but nothing is going to ever ever ever change unless we collectively, stop complaing, blaming, and making excuses for what is going on with our world.

I still say the President needs to do something about it! but He really doesn't care about the oil prices. Because where he came from was a Oil town?

I agree with you, people that make not much more then mimunim wage. I really don't see how they make it. By the time you put gas in your vehicle, buy a few grocerys there is no money left. I really wish these rich polications had to live on what us normal people had to live on. Then maybe they would do something, instead of giving themselves more money.

My thoughts on this is they really do not care. Why should they? They do not have to pay for ther own gas. We pay for it! Just as we pay for everything else for them. At least 60% of every dollar we earn goes to taxes in some way. Taxes we started to fund a war and then were suppose to stop. They did not! They t "the government" got use to having our money to spend and kept on taking it and raising the amount. We have no say in it. If we don't pay they take what we own, freeze our bank accounts, garnish our wages. What do they care if we have health care, food to eat, gas for our cars, walk more, use a bike for all they care as long as they get our money. They have health care, plenty of money for food, gas, and what ever else they need. They make sure of it. They give themselves raises when they want to and raise our taxes to get what they want.

The things is, there is probably more to the story. Like what kind of car does she drive, why can't she find a better job or work more hours. Yes, gas prices are out of control but you have to deal with it and provide for yourself. She either has a car that wastes fuel or a really bad job. I work 30 hours a week and even if I had to fuel up weekly I would still have well over $300 a week left in my pocket.

I keep thinking that someone has got to do something. My husband's job requires lots of traveling every day. I have quit going as much as I use to. I don't know what the solution is but someone better find one fast.

It is a crisis all over the world right now, here in Canada the prices are just awful as well. I don't know what can be down, the world is crippled without gas, or oil.

It is really sad that all of this is going on in the world. It is starting to hurt the food supply also. This is what the Bible promises would happen. So I see it as a sign of the times.

Hi Marcia'-I can relate to that only to well, but not for me for my son. He is a care nurse and works all the hours god sends on pay day-once a month-he fills his car up then he pays all his bills, whatever he has left he may treat himself to a cd and perhaps go out for one nite thats it the rest he has to survive on for petrol, and cigs as he smokes. Care nurses/assistants get very poor pay-and it makes me sick that the work they do the government never sees what a valuable job it is for the elderly, the senile and those who live in care homes. As you say it is so unfair-blessings littleowl

I think we should all boycott cars and gas and start riding bicycles and mopeds everywhere! Yeah, I know it sounds unrealistic, and hardly anybody would do it, but it was just a thought thrown out there, so don't jump on me telling me reasons why it's not possible right now.
