How do you know when enough is enough?

The doctors came out today and basically told us there is nothing else to deo for Mama. She is basically drowning in her own fluids. How do you know when enough is enough? How can a doctor judge that when 1 hour prior she was sitting up laughing and talking? Lay her down and in a matter of minutes it is respiratory arrest(for the 5th time).

Im with C. I dont want to see her suffer, but I dont want to see her go. She told me how cute my "ring" that b bought me was. So I went and bought her one last night. Boiled Peanuts... thats mine and her thing. I want her better so I can at least bring her one more bag.

What size ring? I know and I do too. I haven't given up. I just hate to see her suffering. I am proud of you. You were strong that day they brought her in. I love you.

Its a rubber ring. She prob cant wear it. B had bought me one that had a corn on it. And she like it but it broke so when I went to buy a new ring to put the crown on i bought her a lil bubmle bee i think is what it is and a pink ring to put it on. Its a big bulky ring. She just said it was cute.

There is only one that can judge that, and make that decision. Until that time, we can only lend support and strength and compassion to each other.

Who on this earth is able to make this decision? One can only wait and endure, hope and pray.

Yes at times we must pray for peace of heart, mind, soul and strength to at last say, your will, will be done turning it all over to Him that has brought her into our lives to live and now to live in peace with those that have gone on before her. We pray for your strength and to let you know we are here for you. Love You My Sister

i think they should keep trying as long as the person has the will and strength, and still wants to live.they pretty much wrote my dad off after awhile(he had cancer),and i was pretty angry.they didn't do everything they could in my opinion.they just quit trying.

First off let me say that i am so very sorry to hear this about your mother. And in my opinion a lot of doctors just look at the condition at hand. And make there own Diagnosis, which in some cases is ok and at other times it is not. The way that i look at it, is........its still in you and your family hands. People that are sick can be up one minute and down the next minute. All i can say is never ever give up. Stay there by there side at all times. I will keep u in my prayers
