Hi..been away...miss chatting...how are things going with you?

Greetings to old friends and new members alike. I have been away from Mylot for the past month and not here very much the month before that. I have missed being here and chatting with all of you within our great community. After finally catching up and responding to most of my older comments I dropped by to visit a few friends on their sites but still feel really out of the loop. For that reason I'd love to hear from anyone who would like to catch up. What have you been up to in the past couple of months? How is your work and family life going? Any new or interesting events you care to share? For those who are interested David and I have a new web designer and have put a lot of time and energy into providing content for our site...to be launched in the not too distant future. We are looking to expand our life coaching by telephone services, and will be using the website to promote our seminars in the Fall. So have workshop...will travel if anyone wants to organize one in your area. Also I am finally making concrete plans to market my manuscript. The new camera we bought has paid for itself with more photojournalism reporting for local papers. We spent time in the garden and got it all cleaned up thinking Spring was here..then we had a winter storm yesterday. Oh well...that is Manitoba weather for you! So that is how things have been going with us...how about you? Look forward to hearing from anyone out there....hello...Raia calling! (smiles)

Hello again my sweet friend. Sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing there. It would seem that things are getting more challenging all over the planet. Rising gas prices...in the U.S. homes are being lost when they cannot pay their mortgages...war in the middle east...global warming. Goodness if you listen to the news you'd think we were all going to hell in a hand-basket. What keeps my 'hope afloat' is first and foremost my faith and spiritual beliefs...and secondly people. Everyday people who are heroes in their own lives. I hope you will be able to feel the sincerity in what I am about to say...you are one of them. Knowing what you went through to assist your kids in being who and where they are is just one of the many reasons I respect you and reached out to you for other ways of keeping in touch. The expression in your children's eyes and the expression on their faces shows the love and security you have provided for them. When I make a connection with someone I do my best to keep the channels open...and the energetic bonds strong. Trust me...that won't change. I will stay in touch as long as we are able to from your end...and mine. When you miss me...send me an e-mail. I check them every day even when I am not here. I love to hear from special gal-pals like you anytime...and I always have time to respond...because I MAKE the time. I think of you and our love of Shrek...and periodically look at the photos you sent me. I welcome them and a touch in whenever YOU have the time as well. When I read how things have been going for you I wish it were different. You deserve good things and I will continue to pray that occurs. It is very touching for me to hear that seeing me back here is fun for you. I have a little more time right now and plan to be around nire, So I will be keeping in touch...but you know where I am when my site here is quiet. But right now I'd like you to close your eyes...and feel me sending you a big, warm gal-pal hug and know that I genuinely care. Ask your kids to give you a physical hug from your gal/guy friends across the ocean...and let it be a reminder that I am no further than a thought and an e-mail away. Warm and caring regards, Raia

Yes, we have been hearing about the commodities and the rising gas prices contributing to downturns in your country. I am sooooo sorry to hear that and I wish there was more I could do. David and I know what it is like to struggle during tough times. His health was compromised for a few years and it set up back financially but drew us closer in all other ways...and we are grateful for that. As you and I have chatted about before when you have faith and a strong spiritual dimension to life and the love of family and friends it is much easier to get through the daunting times. It is heartwarming to me to know that our friendship with you provides some comfort. We are here for you and send you our love, light, care and concern on a daily basis...even when we don't chat for awhile. We have made a connection and it is a friendship I intend to continue fostering as long as you choose to as well. Please keep in touch and I will too when I am not here. Sometimes I don't e-mail you because I know how busy your life is with your children, work and family commitments. Feel free to contact me anytime...I always like to hear from you. I took another Shrek photo with the whole group in one place and will send it to you in the next couple of days. I am glad we have each other's addresses and we will continue to stay in touch...because I care...and I feel yours coming back to us. We are here for you...and are sending that care and concern you way. Warm hugs... Raia

Ainge picks up the line, Hey there, I have been busy too, I just posted about my schedule, so you can see my daily life. LOL. I have been sought out by a musician for writing poetry for some songs, a poetry literary agent, and well added a new job. Have been covering the GitMo story in court, oh that is a joy. Going to protest and covering them, got 3 new blogs up, and that is only a bit of what I have been up to. Seems we are in the same boat. Busy, busy, busy. So glad to see you back. I would love to see your site. I am working on one too. I am building it from the bottom up. What a nightmare. Such is life in the big City. That is awesome about your manuscript and the photojournalism. I would love to know about the manuscript and have to let you know when mine is finally ready for publication. Hugs and so glad to see you back my friend. Ainge

Great that you are the first response...I am truly happy to back in touch with you too! Wonderful to hear about all the positive changes in your life as well...you deserve every success and I hope there is no ceiling on it for you. I respect who you are and what you are doing to make a positive difference in this world. I am sure the good you do will come your way because of the 'what goes around..comes around' belief system I endeavor to live by. Your heartfelt words of acknowledgment mean a lot to me because I see the talent you have. I'd love to keep each other updated. Would you like to exchange private e-mail addresses so we can stay connected when we are not able to be here? I'd be fine to do so if you have a comfort level with it. All I ask is that we agree to never give out our addresses to anyone else without prior consent and that we do not put each other on forward lists or send chain letters. Other that it would be great to have another way of cheering each other on. If you choose to send me yours by PM here and I will forward mine to you. If not I understand and respect your reasons and privacy concerns. They are valid in any forum like this. In any case we will be chatting here...keep up the great work! Warm and caring regards to you Ainge Raia

Raia, I will send it to you on here. No issue there with doing that or what you have requested. Who knows maybe we will do a spot together sometime. Thank you for your kind words, as they always are so thoughtful and positive. I am so thankful for your positivity in my life. I am so happy for all your good fortune as well, the ceiling is only as high as either of us make it. I did the happy dance when I saw I got to answer your question first. Ainge

Raia, I will be sending you things by email soon just so you know. It has just been a crazy time. I just got picked up by a Military online Magazine. Woohoo. The loved my Yes Drill Sgt Sir. I was blown away. Things are moving forward for those of us on this cornerstone of Faith I noticed and perhaps that is because we all have a great amount of white light and energy. Positive to positive will make us go forth. Take care my gal pal and look forward to seeing and talking to you again soon. Blessings upon you and yours, Ainge

Here I am responding one week later...but I am here. When a week goes by there sure is a lot of catching up to do. The good thing about us Lakota our friends have come to know that even when we are behind we work our bottoms off to eventually get caught up again...and so shall I. I landed another writing assignment and have been busy with that. Plus the Manitoba Bison Association has offered me a column on their site...new profiles for what we are doing and that is a good thing. So David and I are doing well and even though we are busy...life is good. I hope it remains that way for you and yours as well. I'll send an e-mail once I have this writing job finished...but this will work as fill for now. Hugs to you... Raia

I would surely like to visit your updated site Raia, if you also think so! Well, I am glad to know that you are going ahead with your work and some how putting few dew drops here too! As I told, I was in Australia, sponsored by friends to visit their place and stay with them: I was in Brisbane and it is really a good city, which has sea, river, hills and valleys covering the residencial areas as well educatoinal and social institutions including malls and shopping centers. It is a city which is modern but keeping a natural environmewntal touch also! Well some time I would like to write about that in a photo-feature like item here! But at the same time I was busy with inner work of healing and giving lectures on and about healing, Reiki and related things to interested people! The overall experience was so rich and fruitful that filled me with new dimensions of healing, energy flow, aura work and so on... Well, some time I would like to share few of those things here! That's not all but let me stop here now!

Oh my goodness I just a huge ooppps!!!!! . I had spent about twenty minutes on a long, in-depth response and copied it. Then I shrunk it to go and access my blog and homepage information...and when I copied it...of course it over-rode the first 'copy' and all that pasted was the addresses. DUH! So Healwell here we go again. I was letting you know that I had added some new articles to my Blog...and one of them is regarding the lack of men's resources in North America. If you have time I would welcome your views on this. There is also a new one on fibromyalgia and organic gardening and a book review from my editor on soy products. The addresses are above. The second address is not our new website but our original homepage. It has a little about our companies and previously published articles. The expanded website won't be ready to launch for awhile yet. You will be among the first to know when we are ready and I truly appreciate your interest. I also would like to offer my apology for not responding directly to your message the other day. It made me happy to hear from you again and be invited to participate in your discussions. I went directly over to comment on the first one, then a client called and quite frankly it slipped my mind. I will go back and reply to it and the second discussion as soon as I post this. Your trip to Australia sound wonderful. It is one of the places David and I would like to visit before moving to the next realm. We would do stop overs because we are not to enamored with the idea of a 24 hour non-stop flight. It would be meaningful to me to have an opportunity to hear about your experiences there and your work. Every time I connect with you I sense your calm, expansive presence coming through the screen and I value the exchanges we have had...right from the very first one shortly after I became a member here. I recall how thrilled I was to share ideas with someone else practicing Reiki and the healing arts. I will PM you my e-mail address and if you want to give me yours it will provide a way for us to stay in touch during the times we are not on Mylot as frequently. So it is heartwarming to hear from you and catch up a little. I hope to be here more in the next couple of weeks and I trust we will dialog more. Let us hope so. Warm and caring regards, Raia

Ugh! Compared to you I'm downright lazy! : ) I was wondering about you. When I go to my friend's list I look for who I haven't heard from in a while. And it had been a while since you had posted a discussion. I'm glad to see you back.

Hi again... Thanks for dropping back and adding your generous words and encouragement to the relationship I have with David. I sincerely feel blessed every day in large and small ways to have a life and business partner with David's love, compassion strength, sensitivity and caring. He is my biggest fan and cheers me on when I doubt myself. When my parents were dying...first dad in 1998 and mom in 2003 he was there for me. I don't have siblings and he was such a comfort during my grieving period. When I took 8 months away from our business to write a 500 page manuscript he looked after everything to clear a way for me to do it. He loves to cook and has prepared nearly every meal for coming onto 18 years. Recently a close friend of ours moved from Winnipeg to our little town (4 houses down) and he has offered to prepare all her meals as well. We will 1/3 the cost of the food of course but she is thrilled to have my Sweetie taking as good care of her as he does of me. The fact that the two people I love so much relate as well as they do is yet another blessing. So yes my friend I sing David's praises because he deserves it...but to give other women hope and let them know there are some well adjusted good guys out there. I am encouraging David to set up life coaching for men so he can assist them in knowing that you can be regular "guys" and love and support their gals at the same time. I agree with you many women do are not as fortunate to have a hubs like mine. I have done work with a women's shelter for battered women and have seen the devastation that dynamic brings to women and their children alike. I am ending up writing another mini-manuscript here and it is time to bring my wordy response to an end. Good to be back in touch. Warm regards, Raia

Hi AmbiePam...thanks for checking my activity out and saying you are glad to see me back...I appreciate hearing that. You made me chuckle when I saw your lead comment. . I guess it sounds like a lot...but I do work from home and set my own hours. I can go to bed as late as I want...and sleep as long as I need to. So having flexible hours and a hubby who does all the cooking and helps with the cleaning really cuts down on time and energy output. When I see those who hold down regular jobs, drive back and forth from work, maintain a household and some have kids on top of all of that...that makes what I do seem small by comparison. David and I do not have kids and we both have immense respect for all parents. It is a full time job in and of itself and in our view being a Mom/Dad never seems to receive the amount of kudos that most parents deserve...at least from my perspective. Great to be back in touch. I really miss chatting with friends like you when I am not here. Take care...and we'll keep in touch. Raia

I'll drop by and chat with you on you site and we can keep the flow going from both sides...yours and mine. Hot...heat...might be a nice change from our snow and cold. However, not too much though...I know how draining heat and humidity can be. Best regards, Raia

Hello Raia. I had been wondering what you were up to. I know that you have a busy schedule and that you were most likely busier than a one-armed paper hanger. I am still working. Almost recuperated from my accident. Still have to see an ortho doctor to see why my neck and shoulder stiffens up. Have to make an appointment next week. The weather has been glorious. I am so enjoying this warm weather. Love the spring. The one thing I don't enjoy is the seasonal allergies. I am nursing a headache at the moment. Took a Benadryl and will soon be getting groggy. That means I will get a good night's sleep tonight. I am working this weekend, but will get off work at 12:30! Yippee! That will give me a good chunk of weekend to have fun. Hubby is going to have surgery on his hands on the 1st of May. After he is mended from that surgery he will have the other hand done. He may be layed up for 6 months. Not great financially. He does keep the housework up though and I am not complaining about that! The grandson is doing well. He is getting excited about the end of the school year coming up. Fishing season started and he is bugging his Opa to take him. Hopefully they can get a day in before his surgery. Nice to see you back again Raia. Big huggers to you.

Hello my special butterfly gal-pal. Thank you for the warm greetings. I miss not being here...but all aspects of our work are opening up again and David and I are riding the horse in the direction it is going. He is feeling so much better and we are slowing improving our situation after working through his health challenges during the last couple of years. I can empathize how the health challenges and setbacks you and your hubs are working through effects financial stability. Good to know he helps around the house...David does too...and aren't we lucky to have guys that do that! My thoughts, prayers and well wishes are being sent your way...with big hugs to you too. Good to hear that the weather is good where you are...we are having a strange Spring. The melt was good...but it gets a little warmer...then really chilly. Hope you and your grandson have a lot of productive fishing...and fun to boot. I will do my best to come back to Mylot as time permits...it is valued connections with people like you that makes it such an enjoyable place to be. It is still rather amazing to me how we miss chatting with on-line friends when we can't be here and I do find that with you. So thanks for dropping by...and we will keep in touch as we always do. Wishing you and yours many blessings, Raia

Greetings Raia, my friend and nice to see you back! Things are not that good here for the past weeks, lots of stars have fallen and is not really sure this happens (though there are some major deletions occurring now and then). I managed to stay away from those things (posts, discussions) since I don't wanna be affected by it, and that I prefer to continue on hoping that mylot admin and staffs would come out and address the issue. I only come here whenever I could, post 2 or 4 then log out. I've been seeing the same posts again and again, so I just log in between an hour or two. As for my personal life, am not feeling good lately maybe because of too much heat and my mood is also kinda affected by the weather. But still, I always find something to relieve myself from it. I hope that you enjoy your news plans, I am glad that you're back and hope to see you around sooner or later..

Hello again Raijin...thanks for dropping by with your update. Whenever I am away for awhile I like to post similar discussions so that valued friends and I can have a chance to chat and catch up a little. I heard someone else mention that stars had been falling. What is going on with that? Do you know what is creating that situation? Whatever it is I hope Mylot admin does address it...it would be disheartening to see the integrity of the site go down. As you can tell by the length of time between my posts and responses I cannot be here as much as I would like. However, when I have some spare time I log on and go back to older topics and endeavor to maintain my goal of responding to every response on my site...and popping back to respond to friends' posts as well. I am glad you understand...I would miss connecting with you because I do consider you a great on-line pal and want to keep the channels of communication open as best I can. Your encouragement with our new plans is appreciated and you will see me around sooner...or later! Sorry to hear that you are feeling somewhat challenged these days. I appreciate that you are so authentic and open in your sharings with me. I am sure the stifling heat must be depleting to your energy and that can affect mood as well. My thoughts and well-wishes are being sent you way. Please know even though it takes me awhile I will always do my best to reply whenever you drop by. Warm and caring regards, Raia

Oh my sweet friend...what a delight to hear from you again. How are things going with you? Better I hope...at least in some areas of your life. You were going through a lot last time we chatted. I have not been here as much as I was last year...as you can tell by the discussion things are picking up...but going very well for us right now. We are happy and David's health has returned and that is the best gift of all. Thank you for your encouraging, loving words...if you would care to keep in touch by e-mail during the times neither one of us is here send me your e-mail by PM and I will do the same with you. All I ask is that I am not put on forward lists...or receive chain letters and of course not giving our addresses out to anyone else. I would do the same with you. Hugs, blessings and warm, caring regards to you too. Raia

I was having a bad time for awhile. Everything was building up all at once and I seem to have lost my way for a day or two. Then it all balanced out again. Love, kids, school, everything is hunky dory! Couldn't be better but I have been super busy. Not much is new on that front. Same old stuff. Weather here in Illinois has been beautiful which is a blessing. I'm so glad all is well with you both! I was missing you!

Good to know you are over the hump we all experience every now and then. From the sound of it you know how to balance yourself...and I have learned how to do that as well. When things feel funky and out of whack I usually have a long hot soak in our bubble jet tub with Epsom salts, incense and relaxing music. David has magic fingers and gives the best massages...after a little self-care and contemplation the world begins to look like a happier place. Glad you and your loved ones are doing well...thanks for your well wishes for us. I miss you too when we are out of touch. That is why I am glad we have other access to each other. I would hate to lose track of each other after the enjoying our gal-pal heart to hearts provide for us. We will keep in touch. Will be signing off soon..hope you are sleeping well. Raia
