I am travelling to the US next month!

Can you suggest places to visit/ things to do? I am not a culture-vulture - and no museums please. Outstanding places of great natural beauty are my thing. I will be in these cities: Washington DC, New York, Buffalo, SF, LA and ofcourse Orlando for the kids.

Wow!! This sounds like a Fun trip for sure. That is a lot of traveling. You will be going to a lot of places I have never been. Is this for Business, pleasure or a little bit of both? Do you have family here in the US you are going to be visiting?
There are some Great things to do when you are here. Since you will be in San Francisco, one of my fondest memories of there was the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. You have to ride the Cable Car as well if it is still going too. In LA there is a lot to see just depends on what you are interested in.
Good Luck with this trip, and sounds like you will be busy. You will have to keep us updated on what you do and see while you are here.

Thanks KrauseHome for your wishes. It was the trip of a lifetime, I do not think I will be making another trip of this kind for some time. Thanks for the travel tips, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Cable Cars, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf - these are the things which make pleasant holiday memories - the things which brought me back to SF after 16 years!

I would suggest Florida for sure. Yoiu can go to Disney World and the Epcot Space Center. You can also see the beautiful ocean and see some dolphins while you are there. You may also get some tanned skin too. I would also suggest Hawaii too because it is just beautiful, sunny and warm there also.
