Just One Of Those Days...

We've all had them, when is the last time you've had a day when everything seemed to go wrong. I was supposed to get some money today, both from child support and from SSI. I was going to use it for my daughter's birthday tomorrow. Neither came, and since its Friday, I won't get either until Monday. I get up this morning and my computer has turned itself off. I try to get it up and running again, but it won't go past the title screen. Now I have to use my grandma's computer, and I have to remember how to set up outlook so I can get to my e-mails. I come in here today, and after all the hard work I put in yesterday, I only earned .42 in participation. My star hasn't budged an inch from 65/100, and will probably fall even more because I won't be able to participate like I should because I can't get to my e-mails. My head was already hurting, but everything coming down on me at once is making it worse. I will run out of cigarettes before the end of the day, not that I want to, but I'm stressed. Does anyone know how I can fix my computer? What am I supposed to do for my daughter? I know I am not the one to gripe about life, but today it all seems to be coming down on me. Someone help me with at least one of these things please!!!

With all of this bombarding you at one time, you have STRESS!!!Let's start with an easier one. MyLot is NOT a big money maker. As you said, you worked hard on it but only received 42 cents. But unlike other programs,it DOES pay you .I received about the same amount yesterday and was quite pleased with it.I figure if I can get that amount for doing something I enjoy and hopefully helping others, then that is gravy. People will tell you to stop smoking.Often that is one of the few pleasures we have(I am not a smoker). It does help relief stress. It is very addicting but it sometimes feels like the only thing keeping us sane. That one has to be put on the backburner. Nothing you can do about the cheques not showing up,so that means we can concentrate on your daughter's birthday. Here's an idea;make a card for her with a home-made gift card inside it sayin "good for 1 doll(or anything like that you were going to get her) at such-n-such place and date fo the following weekend. This will give her plenty of time to ponder and wonder at her choices and make it a VERY special day for her.Still celebrate her b/d,but the gift is delayed and this might make it more palatable to both.If you can, take her to special places that day that are free to go into. I hope some of these thoughts will bring down your stress level.Hopefully you will be able to take and idea or two from this response and help both you and your daughter have a great weekend and she has a memorable birthday.

That is a great idea, thank you!!! She isn't old enough to read, but we are telling her its her birthday, and her aunt is going to get her a cake. Got a new challenge now. We think she has the beginning of either chicken pox or measles. What a birthday gift!!! I would have been happy with the .42, if I had felt I did only that much work. What I did Thursday usually would earn me anywhere between 80-90 cents. But I'm no longer worried about that. That was just the straw that broke the camels back yesterday. I must not have replied to very popular discussions, that's all. And best of all, my computer is back on today!!! It must have just been tired of me beating on it, as my mom would say. I really need to take it in the shop, before all my info disappears and I end up with a 20lb paperweight.

I am happy for you that some of the stress has lessened.I hope that yesterday(it is Sunday here right now) went well for you and your daughter. My older brother always seemed to get sick on any special day(including chicken pox on his birthday)and he sort of turned out ok.It is probably better anyways that she get all the childhood diseases out of her system at such a young age and (hopefully) not have to face them later in life.

well friend one in a while this day comes your way when nothing seems right and lol it seems today is your day, and as you know its really tough for you feel that the whole world is against you ,i have been through this phase in my life when nothing I did went right.Anyways mylot has never been a place were you can earn huge income so forget about it ant just keep posting as far as your computer is concerned it seems that you operating system you are using has been attacked by virus so just format your computer and re- install the operating system it will be fine els try using the F8 button while booting and then start your copmuter in last known good configuration mood that too should do.

Thanks for the tip, but luckily the darn thing came straight up when I tried it this morning. I have been having boot problems for a while, so I will have to take it into the shop. I would go ahead and reformat my computer, but I don't want to lose all the info I got on here. I guess I will shell out the bucks for that when I get them, because I love my third child lol. I know that this site isn't for big earnings. What I got yesterday was less than I expected. Usually I wouldn't have fussed, but with everything else going wrong yesterday, it was just the straw on the camel's back, you know? Trust me, I'm over it now and that will not change my participation here. Just as long as my computer holds up lol.

There is a place that will fix my computer right up the street from me, about a mile or two. My problem is getting it there. No bus goes that way, and I don't drive so I would have to get someone to take me. Luckily it decided to come on today when I tried it, but I will still have to take it in. I think its just tired of me leaving it on all the time, and it takes too much to bring it up after its been off, even if its a restart. I am sorry for your day yesterday, but it does make me feel better that I wasn't the only one suffering. As far as the diarrhea is concerned, you can fix that by drinking a solution of flour in water. It will help to solidify your feces. I forget how much flour to water, but if you are using white flour it should look like milk.

Do what you can today to make your daughters birthday special. Is there anyone who can loan you a little money until Monday? If not, then explain to your daughter what happened, just be honest about it. I'm sure she will understand. Just make sure she feels special on her birthday. Sorry no help about the computer hun.

Unfortunately there are too many bills floating around my family to ask at this point. My sister is going to get her niece a cake from the store. As far as the computer, its working today. I guess it was tired lol. I will have to take it into a shop soon, because I already have to leave it on 24/7. If I turn it off, I have a hard time bringing it back up. Arrgh!!! More money I don't have. I will probably do something special for her next week when the money finally comes.

I am really sorry that all these things have happened to you, it never rains does it, it just pours. I do not know what is wrong with your computer unless it has picked up a virus, my hubbys laptop did something similar and it took him months to figure it out, he had to run it in safe mode and then he used the operating system disc that came with the computer and did a system restore on it and it runs perfect now. I know what you mean about putting a lot of hard work in here and being showed nothing for it, since my star went down, my earnings have dropped dramatically, have you noticed it? You do not need money to make your daughters day special she will understand that she will have to wait kids are more adult in these situations than we ever are!! As long as she has you, and her family around her it will be enough and you can still do things with no money, ok it is not the same but you can still have fun.

In all the anger and confusion I forgot how good of a sport that my daughter is. She has just been happy that we have been saying its her birthday. She got to talk to her father today, which is a big bonus for her. She did end up getting a present she might not have wanted. Looks like she has the beginning of the chicken pox (Oy!) If she does I am glad that she is getting it out of the way early. I am trying to get my son to have it too. I told her to give him a big hug and a kiss. Kill two birds with one stone!!!

That is really disheartening to hear. I know such kind of things really get on you. Don't worry too much about mylot as everyone is experiencing the same problem here. Regarding your daughter you can probably bake a cute cake and celebrate with your family members and make her feel special. Your pc seems to have caught a virus , so its better if u open it in safe mode and try to sort it out. Don't worry things will fall in place soon ~pinks~

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems and a bad day. When it rains it pours. But God will not put more on you than you can bear. For you daughter bday make her a special breakfast and maybe a cupcake with decorated with a candle or make a cake. Spend the day with her in the park or play games together. As for as the computer I'm not good with that. It might be a virus.

well my response to this one will only be about my niece. i couldnt tell you how to fix a computer. first of all you could alway ask me YOUR SISTER. I may be broke most of the time but i could at least try to get a cake of bake a cake or something. I just think any thing would be better than nothing. My niece is 4 years old today, and she should at least get a cake, so i will try my best even if i have to bake it myself. Not knowing befoe i spoke with you on what you wanted to do i was going to say what was mentioned above. Now that we have to wait to take her out, we can plan to take her to chucky cheeses in 2 weeks or when she gets better, or just have the cake and do something fun this summer. let me know what you think, and next time remember i am here and if i can i will, if i cant i will still try.

Yes! I have had that happen before where nothing good happens and all heck breaks loose. About 2 weeks ago, for about a month, I would have to wait as long as an hour and 10 minutes for my computer to warm up in order to be able to use it for anything other than a word or an excel document. It turned out to be my "switch" which is what talks to the network and gets it up and running. The computer guy thought it might be my "nic" card which, I am not even sure what that was or is. But, after he replaced it and it didn't fix the problem, he replaced my switch and it has been fine ever since. So, how old is your computer? Have you ever changed the "switch" or the "nic"? If not, or if no one you know has changed them for you, you might take it somewhere and see if that is what is wrong with it. I know very little about the dynamics of what makes a computer run so, I am afraid I can't be of much help. I gave you a "+" as I always do and always will so, hopefully that will help you with your star! But, I really think we should all look at the 1 as the new 10 as mentioned in my other discussion! LOL! And, looking at it that way, you are doing pretty good! I wish I were as close to 1 as you are! LOL! I am sorry that you won't get the money that you need for your daughter's birthday until Monday. I don't have a solution to that other than just showering her in attention and love tomorrow and, if you have to wait to be able to afford something for her until Monday, tell her that she will just get to enjoy her birthday for a little bit longer so, in addition to all you will do with and for her tomorrow, she will also get a little something Monday. Who doesn't like to celebrate the birthday for a little bit longer after the actual day? Turn it into a positive in her mind and she may not be upset about it. We all have those pitfall days where nothing goes right and it doesn't seem like anything will ever go right again. Believe me. When I have them, they happen for several days and even weeks before things straighten out. We just need to wait until things straighten out and, eventually, it will be long ago since you had this day and you will only remember that you had a really bad day where nothing went right but, you probably won't remember the circumstances surrounding that (or this) day. You just have to wait it out. It is like a stormy day. The rain will seem never ending and the thunder and lightning will keep bombarding you. But, the sun always comes out! This too shall pass and it will only make you stronger!

Yes I had one of those days several days ago. I overslept and was just getting dressed when access bus calledd and they were outside waiting for me. so I zipped through my dressing, locked the door and got into the bus. The bus driverwas surley and did not help me with my seat belt. I got to my doctors appointment and I was a half hour late.I started to sign in and the gal at the front desk said,oh Mrs. Hatley your appointment is not till tomorrow. oh my I had to sit down on that one as I was pooped. So I got the bus back home and worked on mylot then mycomputer conked out.the end of a perfect day not.then mycomputer genius son came home from work and in ten minutes he had my computer up and running.

Oh,I'm sorry to hear that.I think you shouldn't think too much of it since you couldn't change it.So I think the most important thing you should do is have a short trip.I think it's best way to make you feel better.I also used this way when I feeled very low.I hope it can work on you.
