I have always loved skylights. I was out looking at houses with my Mom years ago and we went to look at one that had a big skylight over the bed. I thought it would be so awesome to be able to lay in bed and see the stars, moon and on some nights the snow or rain falling. If I ever get to have my own house…I definitely want one. Would you ever have a skylight? Do you think it would be fun to watch the outdoors while lying in bed waiting to fall asleep? Wouldn’t it be like a real life nature channel? Have you ever known anyone that had one? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I never thought of that but it does sound really nice. I would also love to have a recording of the night time sounds like crickets and or frogs or a waterfall. I would also enjoy the rain but not the lightning. hahaha I would also like to have it where I could close it off when I wanted to due to the summer sun beating down during the day.

I have never seen a house with a skylight over the bed but I think it is a lovely idea. I would like to lie and watch the stars. I think it would be fascinating and beautiful. The falling rain would sound nice too, and I would feel snug and warm in my bed if I saw snow filling the skylight.

A skylight would be cool, but i wouldn't want to get woken up really early by the sun.

no, because I think in a bad rain or snow storm it would be very noisy and that would stop me from sleeping an looking up would probably scare as I see the deluge of rain and snow come down.

Oh yes, I would love it..When we go camping I would lie down and look up at the stars, having one in my home would be even better because like you said, I can also view rain and snow falling..

I've never wanted one - in the bedroom at least. But now I have one - the house we bought had it and didn't think much of it until the first full moon. It lit up our entire bedroom - which was painted a bright yellow at the time - and we weren't able to sleep. The path of the moon during the spring and fall goes right over our pillows. We've repainted the room a darker color - which is more suitable for a bedroom - and that has helped, but we need to get a shade or something up there so we can sleep.

We had some family friends who put skylights in their kitchen - since they didn't have any normal windows in it. From then on they had tons of trouble with leaks. I think I might like one of those suntunnels, but I don't think I'd care for a sky light especially not in my bedroom, I want it to be dark and I like to sleep late - go figure - I'm up at 6 something on a Sat morning.

I think it would be cool to have a skylight above my bed too. I have seen houses like this, but all I can think of is that it would make the room colder and what if it started to leak?

Oh yes, that is something that I would love to have in the future. Not only is wonderful to be able to see the sky and the stars ,but it brings so much light to the room.

sky lights are great! They help to bring more light into your home so you have lower electricity bills. Natural light is better for you as well, it helps to lift your mood more. If I ever build my own home, I will be making sure there are plenty of sky lights installed, in as many rooms as is practical.

yea, if i was looking for houses and saw one i would be sold because looking at the sky is me and my bf favorite thing to do. We decided were going to invest in a telescope and on our recent trip we took a bunch of pictures of the moon almost became obsessed with it, the sky is truly a beautiful sight. Im a big fan of sound machines too and mine has lightening, rain, rainforest (my favorite),and others i forgot but its a LCD night radio and soo bright but in the Winter waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the rainforest nice but now we just open our window, yes spring again. Does anyone know when Venus is closer, i think its in the summer but not sure.

Here in Savannah we have a wonderful old Inn where you can make the ceiling disappear and you have just glass between you and the sky. It is wonderful but rather expensive.

I would love to have a huge skylight in each of the bedrooms and a small one in each of the bathrooms. Unfortunatly, they cost money that we didn't have and still don't have.

twoey I have always wanted a skylight as it would be so neat to be able to see the stars at night and the rains drops .now i live in an apartmentbut no skylight shucks. we do have nature all around us though as there are a zillion different kinds of trees and flowering shrubs and flowers we actually do live in a garden complex called Ed Dorado Gardens. we have birds even in allour trees.
