What % milk do you use?

I cannot use anything but whole milk. Especially with my cereal and coffee. I would prefer cream with my coffee, but since it's been so expensive to buy, whole milk will do. My husband does not want me to buy whole milk anymore since we have a 3 year old and he drinks milk also. Now, I have to settle with 2% and it's been fine. I absolutely will not do skim however! I refuse and if you're going to use skim, go the very healthy way and drink soy milk. At our house we buy both cow's milk and soy milk. I am having a craving for cereal now! Got milk?

I got a half gallon of whole milk to froth for my cappuccinos, but I also use 2%, I don't know that I noticed a huge difference. But that another conversation...haha. I've always used 2% for general use. I don't like skim at all- might as well use water if you ask me. We also use Soy milk- I like it on cereal, can't drink it straight though. With the exception of one of my boys and my cap's, we don't drink much milk around here- mostly just use it for cereal.

I for one love milk and we drink a fair amount. We go through at least 4L a day somedays. We are not to fussy on the % of milk. But I perfer my 2% and my fiance usually gets 1%. You know the typical guys who go grocery shopping and they really don't look too close to what it is they just grab. My fiance is like that. We sometimes have to settle for 3.25% or 3.75%. I'm not to sure which one it is. I now have a hankering for cookies and milk. :P

When I was growing up, we always drank 2% milk. After I moved out on my own, I decided one day that I would try to go 'healthier' and work my way down to skim milk. I started with the gradual transition and first tried 1%, then moved on down to skim after a month or so. My boyfriend and his family have always preferred the full-bodied taste of vitamin D milk. Whooooo! The first time I went over to his house and tried some, it felt like I should be chewing it rather than drinking the stuff. Talk about a shock from drinking skim! lol I've tried soooo desperately to quit drinking cow's milk altogether and doing soy instead. I just haven't been able to overcome the taste difference between cow's milk and soy. I wonder if I just haven't gone through enough brands to find one that sits well with me. Well, the other thing holding me back from switching to soy altogether is cost since soy tends to be sooooo expensive. Until recently that is. Now that a gallon of cow's milk is almost more expensive than soy, this might be the time to make the switch to soy and just learn to appreciate the taste as I go. lol

I would rather drink 2% low fat milk. I really don't like to drink it but rather have it in my cereal. I don't drink coffee but my husband does and he takes his straight black with a little bit of sugar. My mom and dad also use 2% milk. My sister would rather have whole milk. :)

I like skim milk best. I hardly ever drink it plain, but I like thinner, less rich milk. xD

I buy 2% milk but I don't really drink milk. My kids drink it and use it on cereal, and sometimes I do cook with it. The funny thing is that I used to use whole milk! I moved to 2% because I didn't think it was healthy for my teenagers to be going through 4 gallons of whole milk a week, and my four (then two) year old had started drinking regular milk and using it on cereal. Skim is almost like colored water... ick. I do use nonfat milk in lattes ie skinny lattes at starbucks but those taste okay. I have some recipes that I use half and half in, and I use mostly coffeemate liquid flavored creamer for my brewed coffee. =)
