and still keep your rating? I am asking because I started selling toffee on eBay a few months ago under my regular eBay ID because I did not think that it would go over as well as it has. I would like to change my ID to something that is better suited to the stuff I am selling without having to start all over on the ratings since I sell my stuff Buy It Now.

Yes definitely. I have changed my username in ebay then and once you changed your username it will have a sign beside the name that will make the buyers see that you have changed your username but do not worry, your feedbacks will still be intact and that sign of change of username will only be there for 30 days and after that, you are back to being a regular ebay user like you did not changed your username at all. :)

i have changed my ebay id several times without any problem. l never lost my feedback. the last time i changed it, however was a few years ago. make sure that you let all of your customers know what your new id is after you change it.

I have a few repeat customers, so I would need to let them know for sure.

It's quite easy to change your ID on eBay, go to your account preferences and it will show you how.

i think you can.i've never changed mine, but i've seen a few profiles over there that will say "formerly known as XXXX,2001-2006" for instance. that way people know the user changed their name.

Yes, it is okay to change usernames on Ebay. I have done it several times as well. Most ebay sellers started on Ebay as buyers and then when they realized that they have something to sell, then they become sellers. Since it is easier to sell an item if you already have a feedback history, it is a good idea to sell using your buying idea. If you think that your selling side of Ebay is not permanent then you can just continue using your original ID. However, if you think that your Ebay selling will be permanent, I recommend that you create a separate accounts and make them exclusive to buying or selling. That way, if you get any negative feedbacks on you buying ID, then it will not affect your selling ID or vice versa. Good luck!
