Do You Feel Safe While Surfing The Internet?

Alot of people say that they are afraid of the internet because of hackers, viruses, and other things. I believe if you know what your doing, get a good virus software program and stay away from sites that don't have a policy that strictly states about spam and other things then you should be good. Most people just jump into certain sites befor reading what they are getting them selves into. I was reading about one person how they simply put their information in to register for a website befor reading the policy and well and behold a couple of months went by and they had a viruses from that website all because they were not careful. Don't fear the internet just be cautious of where you go and what you do. I have a special program that tells me if the sight is a trusted sight or not and I love it. If it tells me the site is not trusted I don't go to it.

I feel very safe as I know my way around computers and I am also using a mac (barely any viruses exist for it, hehehe).
Also I have a regular backup taking place for my hard drive and the worst thing I would have to do would be formatting my hard drive and getting all my info back from the backup.
I also only submit my personal information to trusted sites, so I do not worry about that.

I must say that is a smart way to go for I do that as well. Yah I hear a mac is a good computer I have a friend that has one he loves it hasn't had a problem yet. I have a
( hp pavilion ) I like it so far it hasn't caused me any grief runs well and does it's atomatic updates on it's own it's great. Plus the virus protection and all. Thanks for the response and take care.

I run Avast whenever I'm on the net and it does a great job. I also run a system scan about 1-2 a month to double check and Spybot Search & Destroy (clears out adware). No problems. Your right in that you don't need to fear the internet just be careful.

Yah I am happy w/ the antivirus protection and firewall I have on this computer I haven't had a problem yet. I also bought Registry Smart which scans the computer every night and if something is found it cleans it out and my computer is running great. I have had previouse computers that got alot of viruses on them they ran very slow and would freeze up and or crash all together it was rather a pain. Since I got this new one I have had no problems and I'm happy about it. It sounds like you have yourself a good protection for your computer as well that's great. Yes i do feel safe when i log onto the internet daily. i have a bunch of
very good virus protections on my laptop, and am protected fully from viruses, hackers, and wotnot. you can never be too sure of what you might get when you surf the internet. so that's why i have about three virus protection programs to protect me while i'm surfing the net.
if you want to get some free virus protections, you can check out these that i have installed on my computer for free of charge.
AVG
AntiVir
Comodo Firewall Pro
These are all that i have on my computer, besides the windows firewall
thing that you can turn on or off that you have on your computer.
check them out, and download them if you want. they are all for free of charge, and are very good virus protections to have.

That is great that your computer is protected so well. I have a few my self and I know I can surf around the internet and not get viruses. I have a program that will tell me if the site id restricted or not and won't let me accsess it if I try to it's great. Thanks for the recommendation though and your response take care.

That is great that you feel safe while useing the internet. With all the new viruses out there I don't think some of our antivirus protection can detect it and they happen to slip through but they are working on that in the years to come. I haven't had any problems yet but I can never say I won't for it could happen one day. Thanks for your response and take care.
