Yesterday's tragedy and now the things left to take care of

As some of you may know my cousin's son shot himself to death yesterday afternoon. Myself, my cousins, and some friends were on the phone alot last night trying to figure out what to do about getting Jason's room cleaned....None of us feel we can do it and we sure don't want Wanda to have to go in there again until all that blood spatter is cleaned away...it was bad enough that she saw it once when she saw what her son did to himself...We think that the local police may have a crew that goes in and does a clean up. In some ways it helps to have to take care of something! xxx

I am so sorry to hear about this!!! It must be horrible for you and your family members!! Im sure professionals will come in and clean it but if you talk to the police they should be able to provide you with a company. It must be horrific, dont know if this sounds bad but do you know why he shot himself?? You and your family are in my thoughts x

raydene, This is so sad. I hate to hear about this happening to someone so young. It is happening alot these days though. The last few years I have heard of several people in our area who have shot themselves. It would be a terrible thing to have to clean up. It is going to be hard to have to do this. I will be praying for you and your family.

I don't think the police will have a crew for that. I used to work for a company that cleaned up after disasters, mostly fire and water damages. The company also did clean up for things like this. I would call the insurance company and talk to them, the clean up might be covered under homeowners insurance. The comapny I am talking about is called Servpro, the are all over. You can also look in the phone book under disaster clean up. Going in that room will be too much for family members. I can't even imagine living in the house and being there now. I hope in some way that your friends here are helping you some, we sure want to.

www.servpro.com is a company that has people trained to clean up blood and tissue. So the family wont have to go through the horror of doing that themselves. You have my thoughts and my prayers. I hope that everyone can heal and hopefully come together. I'm not so good at expressing sympathy but I can promise you have mine.

I am sure the police or some cleaning agency would be able to direct you to someone who can clean this up. You dont want to have to do this yourselves. At the same time maybe a small change made to Jasons room may make it easier for his mom to go in and out once it is cleaned. Keep your chin up.

Now i understand it clearly. I am sorry Raydene because i read your discussion very late. It is good that they have you to help them with anything you could offer. This is a sad story and I am sure some of the members here were kinda relate to your problems. My classmate in college did this to himself, he shot himself because he wanted to end the pain. I am always here for sharing my prayer.

I do think that the police departments have a crew or know a crew that will come in and clean up like that. His mother does not need to have to go into that room again. She has already had to deal with enough and if she was the one to find him, she will always have that memory in her mind and she should not have to do any cleaning or even walk into that room until it is cleaned!

Oh, raydene, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I do hope the police will provide you with some assistance in this area. I understand it helping to have something to take care of, but that is a bit much for the family at the time. Blessing to you and your family, my friend.

Ohhhhhhh my, Raydene! I'm so sorry to hear this. It seems to be one thing on top of the other at the moment for you, and something you don't need right now. I hope the police do operate some sort of clean up crew, so that Jason's Mum doesn't have to go in the room again. Indeed, it would be awful for any of you to have to do the harrowing job of cleaning up. You and your whole family will be in my prayers and thoughts, my dear friend, that they may find peace and comfort after this harrowing experience. Brightest Blessings, always. xxx

I am so very sorry to hear about your family's tragic loss. I do hope that you're able to get someone to come and cleanup the room, but it'll be a very long time before any of the pain subsides, as all have such a long road ahead. My heart goes out to his mom, and the rest of the family. I am thankful, that your son and friends survived the ordeal in the water. Just a reminder to all, of how quickly life can change. I have seen you around myLot, although I don't really think we've spoken, and I've admired you, and your spirit. I know you have many caring friends here, who love and cherish you. Please take care of yourself, and you and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for Your loss. I am sure the local police don't clean up but can direct you to companies that do. I am sure a professional would be able to clean it up without a problem since they are detached from the issue/person by nature or they wouldn't be doing that type of job to begin with. However if not I am sure you can call some cleaning places from the phone book. I hope no matter what You are able to understand no matter what people never do this type of thing except when they are very sick. That being said I hope You are able to help as much as possible the family parent/s and or siblings. No matter what I see prayers are going out to You and Yours. God Blesses!

I am so sorry for your loss. It is very sad when someone takes their own life, most especially a family member. Take it easy and know that everything happens for a reason...it was his time to leave us. Take care. ~G~
