I actually got out of the house yesterday

Yes, it happened I got out of the house yesterday. I still didn't catch up on my responses, because I went out of the house, I can't say that enough, I went out of the house. For those of you who know me, I am housebound all winter. I can't walk, my back hurts too much with the dampness in the house and the cold outside. I have had a backache now for three weeks. But I just had to get out of the house. It is tax time still in Canada. We have until April 30th to send in our forms. I don't really have an income but we get what is called a general sales tax credit and a provincial tax credit. You only get it if you file an income tax. I don't get the provincial, but I always get the federal and that comes to about 60.00 coming to me every three months. Matt, my boyfriend is an accountant and I just gave him the forms yesterday. Matt and I went out for dinner after that and I was so happy to be out of the house I didn't want to go home. Are you expecting a tax refund? Do little things like getting out of the house make you happy?

I was excited just reading your post, as getting out of the house makes me happy. I'm thrilled your getting a refund. We paid out, but not as much as we were going to originally pay. I am glad you had a great meal.

oh now, I don't get a refund because I didn't pay taxes, the gst is something everyone that has a low income gets whether they work or not.

No I am not expecting any tax refund of any kind. I got out of the house last night and went to my mom and spent the night and helped her clean and then went with her to get her first mammogram. I went with her to make sure she got it and didn't back out this time.

Yeah me to,she is 61 years old this year and she should have already had a few of them by now but she kept puttin them off. I think it is also because she kept hearing that they hurt and she isn't one for alot of pain nowdays. We are waiting for the test results now.

Yes, we are expecting a nice sum, from our rebate check or whatever they are calling it. It won't be in our hands for long as it'g going to pay off a credit card and half of another one. I actually can stay at home, as long as it's quiet and I got things to do. It is nice to get out after being stuck inside for awhile, even if it's to go outside and let my kids go for a walk. I can't wait for it to stay warm, so I can go for more walks, maybe that will help my back pain.

Oh I know, I mowed my lawn, that took 3 hours. I was sore from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Even the palms of my hands was sore.

Oh yeah! I'm so glad that you are up and out of the house :) that is wonderful! I hate having the cabin fever feeling! :( and to get money on top of that! that is even better :) I get out of the house all the time. I work outside the home... so I don't know the feeling. But you sound excited. I do get money back from taxes. I already received the money--- I'm also getting the tax rebate that the US Government is giving out to everyone who files taxes. That should be here within the next month. : )

That is great to hear. I have been trying to get out of the house more also but I sure do not know why lately. It seems my life is always the same no matter what I do. I try to take a break and enjoy life but it is just not possible to find any enjoyments anymore. We got our tax refund and we are working on my yard project that we have been wanting to do for years. It is so slow going though. We work seven days per week and we are so tired when it comes to getting other things done. There is always something to stress me out too and that don't help. Little things always make me happy. Peace of mind would make me the happiest and a little bit of recognition.

I know hon there is always something, it would be just so nice if we could all have everything that we needed, and be able to enjoy life, a little bit.

That is wonderful. I remember a couple years ago, I was house bound for 8 months, only getting out when I had to go to the hospital or doctor. It was just miserable, even though I tried to make the best of it. Getting out when you can makes all the difference in the world.

I go out as much as my mood allows. I know that I have to start getting out more, as I am afraid of becoming agoraphobic. When I have not been out on the bus for a while I tend to get anxious when I do go out and I do not like that at all. Congratulations on getting out for a little while.

oh yes, you would not want to get to the point that you are afraid to get out and go to school that is for sure.

I usually get out of the house everyday, either for a walk , to get groceries or to go for a coffee at the restaurant and bring a good book. It is important to get some fresh air if we do a lot of computer work. My husband had chemo and radio treatments for most of the summer and he is still recovering and I make sure he goes out for a walk with me as part of his recovery. Sunshine and good air ( especially where I live, the air is full of prana, life). Little things in he house make me happy too, like playing with the cats, taking care of my plants and cooking . rose i am so glad that you got out and had a really good time.i am the opposite as i am usually at work all the time or running the children here and there.so i look foward to sometimes not going anywhere, but i suppose that novelity would wear off if i was housebound and could not get out as well.glad you had a good time.cheers sue

Winters are far far too long and I feel your joy at being able to get out. There is nothing worse than beginning to feel your home is your prison not your refuge. Here's hoping for long warm summer days and many many more excursions for you.

Oh my home is always my refuge, I like being home, just not having the option of going out when I want to is what hurts me.

Great to hear that you got out of the house for awhile. I know being coped up all winter could not have been fun. Here in the US the deadline to file taxes was April 15th. We always turn our taxes in right away as we get a really good refund back we have had our refund since the beginning of February.

I am really pleased to hear that you got out of the house, it sounds like you were really happy about it too which is great!! I hope that you will not suffer too much with your back though because of it, I love getting out of the house on a warm day, it does not bother me too much in winter, but I get frustrated being stuck in when the weather is lovely.

Hi winterose. It's good to hear you were finally able to get out of the house. And even better to hear that you enjoyed yourself.I hope that you get relief from your dreaded back pains soon.We dont pay the sort of taxes you do so theres no tax refunds here in the Bahamas. We are a tax free haven here but the cost of living is high. And anytime it's a beautiful day and i'm able to get out of the house and take a stroll to the beach{i live about five blocks from the beach.} i'm happy.

I hate getting up and about when its winter. The weather lately has been not bad but today it was chilly. My brother in law is an accountant and he is filing the forms tomorrow. Anyway I am glad you were able to get out of the house. It does make you feel better in the end as hard as it may be at first.
