When Reading A Good Book Or Are You Oblivious To What's Going On Around You? I Am Completely Oblivious When Reading A Good Book And Wouldn't Know It If A Hurricane Blew By..lol My Family Can't Stand It When I Sart Getting Into A Book And I Don't Know When Somebody's Talking To Me But I Can't Help It. The Only Downside To That Is That Once I Start Reading A Book That's 400 Pages Long, It Only Takes Me A Day Or So To Finish The Book And If I Just Read A Little Here And There The Suspense Of What's About To Happen Or Not Happen Drives Me Nuts!

Depends on how good the book is and what mood i'm in. If it's a good book i get very lost in it and forget the real world it there!! If it's only a mediocre book, or i'm not in the mood i get easily distracted!!

I am generally oblivious to this things that are going around me. I enjoy reading a great book and getting lost within it.

Yes I do get distracted very easily while reading a book no matter what kind of book it is. You won't believe it I need to switch off the fan too when I read a book, ya I know it sounds funny but its true.

I'm someone who easily gets distracted but also concentrate on things easily.. lOL ^_^ I dun really read, but i do play alot of sudoku puzzles.. hehe ^_^ Once i'm on it, it will be very hard for me to be distracted because i will be so concentrating on the puzzle till like i'm walking inside the puzzle, moving the right numbers to the right square.. haha.. ANd when i'm concentrating on a certain thing, all my surroundings will become quiet to me, i wun hear anything at all.. hehe

I'm fairly oblivious, unless the writing style's really convoluted. Then I'm quite easily distracted.

Yes, super. When I read or study, I make sure I'm in a place where no people walking in front of me. I easily distracted when someone asked me a question. I get distracted when someone makes a noise on my background.

not really... i can quite concentrate on the task that i am doing at that time... if somebody is trying to distract me, then i will just ignore the person and keep on doing what i am doing... i hope the person will get the message and will leave me alone after that...

If it's a really good book, I, like you, am oblivious to all that's going on around me. I seem to step inside the book and become a part of it. I only read about two to three chapters at a time, so I wouldn't get through a book as quickly as you, but just the same, I do get wrapped in them. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

It depends on the distraction really. Most of the time, I am not easily affected by it. It's the same as the wind breeze that passes my face and goes away. When I'm doing a very important thing, my focus is really there.

As much as I want to forget the whole wide world, I can't.Whenever I'm reading a very good book, either I go to bed so late after reading it or I can't do any chores at home for a day. It's like my hands are stuck to the book and I can't put it down! And like in your case, when I really don't have the available time to read it, my mind keeps wandering to what will happen next.My sisters still can't believe that I can finish reading a book in just a day or two. Unlike them who can only finish one in a month or more.

It depends one what I'm doing and my mood. If I do not want to be bothered by the noise around me, I will tune it out greatly. When I can't tune it out then I have to send out my voice.

I am easily distracted no matter what I'm doing then I have to go check things out. I need to be less distracted. I probably would be able to get more accomplished.

Same with me, if I am reading a very good book I can get lost in it! One time when I was a teenager I was reading a novel that I was really getting lost into. She almost got into an accident and I wasn't even aware of it, thats how lost I was! But if the book is not keeping my interest, then I am easily distractable.

When I'm reading a good book I barely know what is going on around me. Then, when people keep pestering me about doing something or about asking questions about topics, I get really annoyed because they're bothering my reading time. When I'm reading a good book I do not like to be bothered because I want to read as much of the book as I can.

I find a really good book that I can immerse myself in just every now and then. The rest of the books I read are interesting, but I can put them down and do something else without a regret. When I have a book that's good, it may take me more then a few days depending on the schedule I'm on - and I will read rather than watch TV or go on the computer. When a book is just so-so, I've been known to read the last chapter and call it quits on the book.

It all depends on the book, if it hasn't caught my attention then there's tons of distractions as well as if I've read the book before. Just because I sorta know what's going on... just wanted to reread it cause it was soooo good :). But there are very few books that kept me to the pages.
