How often do you clean up the files on your computer?

My computer is about 3 years old now, and I have quite a lot of things on it. To keep it running smoothly, since my memory is running low, I have to delete unused files and webpages about once a week. However, every few months, I will go through and delete a lot of the things I haven't used in a while. I have pictures and stuff on my computer that if I haven't used them and have them saved to other sources, see no reason to keep them on my computer. I just went through today and cleaned up my picture folder. How often do you tidy up your computer files? Do you use any programs that help you keep your system clean? I currently use CCleaner and it's a great program to delete those files that just take up space that have no use.

Yikes don't remind me. That's something I need to do..right now I'm still concentrating on doing my physical spring cleaning thing in my apt. Took a break from that for a few days to catch up on my article writing. Do need to eliminate some of my photo files...I do scans of my slides then tweak them over at Photoshop...but I don't need the original scans. Then the documents..yikes. I need to go through my email files as well..maybe might start tomorrow.

My computer is about 4 years old. I wish I could get a new one but I can't right now. I try and keep it clean. I take a lot of pics and vids my picture folder is a lil over 5 gigs! I need to clean it out. I do that ever so often after i have taken so many. I put them on CD-R's. I also use CCleaner about once every 1-2 weeks. and I go through and delete un-used stuff ever couple of months.

I don't do mine as often as I should, but not long ago, I reformatted the C drive and that made me take a good look at all the junk I'd been saving. I only saved a portion of it and don't even miss the rest. Yet.

I try to clean clean my computer often. But like you my computer is running low on memory. Of course my computer has little memory to begin with. I do try to keep music off my computer as that slows it down, and I try to keep all my art stored on jumpdrives and the such. I use CCleaner also and it seems to help a great deal. I like how it fixes the problems of files not there anymore.

I try to take good care of my pc. I clean all the junk and temporary files every week. And delete unwanted files every month or two. So my pc is just fine.

I try to clean it about the same as you. Once a week. I also use the CCleaner it is a great program and really helps in keeping things good and clean and is very easy to use. I delete or uninstall things especially if I haven't used them in atleast 6 months.

At least twice a year. I want to clean it every month but I'm so organized and I always forget to do it on the first day of each month. Well, to keep the cache folder empty I set my history to zero days. I don't want too many cookies and I want them cleared as soon as I close my firefox browser. I want to use some cleaners but I'm afraid they might do more damage as I am not a techie when it comes to internet except posting and reading.
